Window Shopping II Jubilee and Emma
Of course no one called her to say the clinic was closed today. Of course she had to find out after taking the two hour train ride into the city, walking six blocks from the station and finding a hastily scrawled and painfully misspelled note on the door. And of course no one was answering their phone to tell her what was going on.
Ah. The joys of unpaid internships.
She wasn’t sure she could stand another long train ride so soon, so she hopped a local and took it uptown, planning to spend the next couple hours window shopping before heading back to the school.
The fall lines had just come out and while earth tones weren’t her thing, she really liked the shades of teal that were popular this year.
Speaking of… that jacket belongs on her body. She angled her head to get a look at the price tag through the glass.
Ouch. The agony of unpaid internships.
She made a mournful sound at the jacket, barely restraining herself from pressing up against the glass to be closer to it.
