That is indeed what it is. (Also applies to hearing it so many times that it sounds weird.) I wish I could explain why it happens, but I don't personally know. XP I've actually never learned about it in a class - I forget how I found out about it, but I think I either just stumbled upon it completely at random, or I thought there must be a term for that phenomenon and looked it up. Not sure which. XD But anyway, I think it's really fascinating - I should totally go look up stuff about it and then tell you what I find out. ^_^ (Mind you, if any followers happen to know something about it, please share! :D)

UGH YES THAT EFFING HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME…the other day it was “perfunctorily”…also an adverb!
