Stayed sober tonight, which I think effectively prevented me from having all the feels. Who knew that avoiding alcohol meant avoiding irrationality?
Smiling because I finally got to chat on the phone with the chemistry teacher. We've been out and about with family and essentially playing phone tag the past few days. My heart is still a bit of a mess from some residual feelings that got dragged up by Kind-of Date, but I'm feeling more at peace about things today. This boy tells me that he can't wait until I'm back home in Houston. I send him a snapchat and he tells me I look radiant. (True story. Gross, I know.) I am permanently grinning.
Looks like I will survive North Carolina after all. Perhaps with a bit less drinking!
So this dorky teacher I've started seeing is running the Dallas half marathon tomorrow, and I'm all stupidly excited about it and signed up for text updates of his progress and everything. Just wanted to share.
