yeah, someone else just pointed out that to me!
but I can't say I agree with your opinion
I like Gabriel because he's flawed, at the same time that doesn't mean I'm forgiving him for killing people just because he thought it was the right thing to do. The same goes for Lucifer- yes, there are Lucifer apologists. Yes, he thinks he's in the right and that's what makes him a great character. No, he isn't in the right, nor the rest of his family was.
And about the Winchesters: that's one of the main reasons I dropped the show. A lot of people actually have a problem with that, the show's whole purpose was to SAVE people, exorcise them, take the demons out of them for like, five seasons. Not to brutally murder them without thinking for only one second about the person that's trapped in. They don't even talk about it anymore, they don't even care anymore, it just became shitty like that. That's all what they do. There is no remorse in that, both Sam and Dean did a long list of problematic things that the fandom cares not to ever mention unless they're in ship fights.
My point is, I'm not going to forgive the problematic characters I like just because I like them, dude killed people, he can be sorry how much he wants about it but he did. And Gabriel wasn't sorry about it, he enjoyed every second of it
