I don't usually do this sort of thing, but oh my god. PAON's debut EP (?!) is something I am absolutely obsessed with.

My first exposure to avant-garde jazz, and it feels like a fantastical space journey to a vibrant, psychedelic, and glossy world beyond ours? With an absolutely immaculate album cover art by REX (@_rexpo on instagram btw - I've attached his art to this post)? With the maximalism and aesthetic extravagence of an project EMBODYING the essence of a male peacock? APPLYING high-art philosophical concepts into their music? I am stunned. Never knew about Lemme or Pernelle (the collaborators for PAON - composition and vocals respectively), but this project of theirs is fantastic. Truly, I am so so so zoned in. Words fail me with how much I LOVE this project. I left a long youtube comment that I don't really want to repeat here word-for-word, but just... listen. If you're into jazz-fusion music that reminds of you of Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and Persona soundtracks - or just really enjoy avant-garde jazz - give this a try.
