27. How do they relate to their appearance? How do they wear their clothing? Style? Quality? 

Dee’s happy with her appearance. She’s not one of those woman who constantly complain about their body, who constantly find something on themselves to pick on. She likes the way she looks, and she’s pretty confident about that. But she has a complicated style. Not complicated as in aesthetically unpleasant, but as in mood-depending. Sometimes you can find her in a flower dress with braids, sometimes it’s a skirt, tank top and leather jacket. It constantly changes, even though she was wearing more of the latter option in her younger years. As long as Dee feels comfortable, she wears it.

47. Do they want to project an image of a younger, older, more important person? Does they want to be visible or invisible?

No, no, no, and visible. She doesn’t want to be anyone else than herself. And she wants to be seen, to be heard. Dee had a loud voice during both wars, but even when they were living in peace, she made sure that she expressed her opinion. It’s just who she is.

Over the years, Nico had learned the benefits of staying under the radar. Being a Slytherin is already guaranteed to draw unnecessary attention, but it’s only worse if you aren’t careful. Being the center of attention is one thing that he loathes, so he’s very careful to stay as far out of the limelight as possible. Hell, half of his house mates don’t even know who he is, only that he’s a bit small and ‘creepy’. He can deal with that. 

On the other hand, there’s Scorpius Malfoy. Everyone knows who he is. And why wouldn’t they? Tall, blonde, a Malfoy. Regardless of if he’d wanted to be noticed, that name alone will make him so. He’s known to be very.... biting, in his commentary. He’ll insult you instead of greet you, he’ll hurt you before you can try to get close. Nico can’t blame him. With the family past that he has, it’s only smart to be distrustful and cautious. 

You’ll understand, then, the sinking feeling in the pit of his gut as the DADA teacher calls out their partners for the year. They’ve had this class together for four years, sharing the room with others, and this is the only time Nico has felt dozens of faces turn to him in curiosity. Who will be with the Malfoy boy this time? 

Bet ten galleons he won’t last a week. 

You’re on. Creepy kid looks like he can last at least two. 

                      “Di Angelo, grab your things and join Mr. Malfoy.” 

Right. Of course. Excuse him while he does exactly that.

The date had been going well, or at least Danny had thought so. He’d been trying to put himself out there a little more recently after getting out of another relationship. The guy was nice and sweet and made Danny smile. Something he definitely felt he needed in his life. But then after his date had come back from the table after excusing him everything had changed. The date went completely downhill and Danny couldn’t understand what had happened. 

And then he spotted him across the room and automatically knew what had gone wrong. After attempting to explain to his date that if he had been told anything by the person across the room, his ex, that he didn’t need to listen. But then of course the whole thing made Danny seem like he came with baggage and that was probably worse. “I’m sorry,” he said to his date and excused himself from the table. “I did have a good time but you seem to be done here, so I’ll let you leave.” And he left the table to head across the room to where that smug face was still watching him.

“What the hell are you doing here? And don’t even try to make some sort of coincidence excuse either. We broke up, ended, over. Why can’t you just let me go out on a damn date with a nice guy?”

laughs into the abyss. i dye my hair so often i haven’t seen my actual hair color aside from the roots in about...15 years? (that makes me sound really old) i’ve had my hair red, blonde, black, blue, purple, pink, green, pink with green streaks, purple with pink streaks, red with black and blonde streaks, black with pink ombre, annnd now i’m back to red again. (ps my natural color is brown)
