Reminder Tips #1 on interviews: Applying to to jobs.
As someone who has both been interviewed and conducted interviews I'm going to give you guys some insight when it comes to this gut-retching, festering anxiety causing process. Because this is both your potential employment and a life lesson that should be done with ease, not fear.
1. Applying to job.
Pretty self explanatory but I can't stress how important this first step is and first impressions are EVERYTHING. Even when you're just applying to minimum wage jobs you don't even really want, you have to dress nicely because if you don't present well there are plenty of other applicants to choose from. If you don't have professional clothes settle for business casual.
Here's an excellent guidline for business casual.

Dress nicely to both pick up the application, to drop off and interview. Be kind and look up some basic information about the company to show management you're truly interested (whether you actually are or not).
Do not bring your fandom things, no anime, no favorite character, no logo, you don't want the person interviewing you to base you off the things you like. You want them to see you as the great employee you're trying to present yourself as.
In other words: LEAVE THE MERCHANDISE HOME.
Hygiene! It's a huge thing! Even if you're just picking up an application good swiss cheese please take a shower before hand!
Even if you don't think you smell it's just a good idea to put on a light perfume, cologne, or febreeze. I know many of you don't like to because of allergies and if you can't then you can't, that's alright, just don't smell like rotting flesh.
Both ladies and gentlemen alike, if you have hairy legs/armpits and would like to wear a shirt that covers your armpits/skirt or shorts with tights underneath them. Some people like going all natural, that's fine but please know that in most professional workplaces your personal opinions don't really matter and the interviewer might be put off by naturally occurring body hair.
Brush your teeth before going in, try to avoid eating a half hour beforehand so as to not upset your stomach during the interview (and so you won't have bad breath).
Overall summary just dress nicely, smell and talk nicely, be appropriate, and you'll do fine!
