Lucy was a prolific letter writer and was very adept at communicating her thoughts and feelings to family and friends via hand written missives. To me, writing a letter, or sending a hand written note or card is much more personal and meaningful than a bland, unfeeling message pecked out in an email or text message where the tone is usually lost. This personal touch goes a long way to show people that you care and is almost always appreciated by the recipient. I usually avoid topical subject matter here but despite the issues and criticisms surrounding the US Postal Service, I hope they can hang in there so people will be able to send letters for many years to come. Emerging in the Tumblr World

Hey all! (I know there are like ten of you, but that’s okay. I’m going to write this anyway). My name is Cassie and I’m a 22 cisgender female. I’ve been on tumblr for a while, just kind of watching bloggers who posted about my favorite fandoms, and wanting to keep my identity a little bit hidden because of who I was as a person. I was nervous as hell that someone I knew from home would find my tumblr and out me to the rest of the word as bisexual. That used to terrify me quite a bit. However, recently I’ve realized that I’m finally comfortable to come out on my own terms. Not everyone I love knows I’m bisexual, but they will eventually. At this point, I’m finally happy with myself as a person again. But that alone is not the purpose of this post. 

My main idea is to add a personal touch to my fandom blog, even change it so it’s not just a fandom blog. So, here is what I’m going to do. I am a creative person by nature and I’ve recently been dabbling in a lot of poetry (this is partially due to a class I’m taking at uni) and short fiction. And I love hearing feedback from multiple perspectives. From here on out, I will be sporadically attempting to post my in-progress creative writings. Share your feedback with me or even just pop in to say “hey.” I’m not that scary, promise. Also, feel free to give me writing prompts and korrasami headcanons. I will do my best to write up something fun in response and maybe it’ll help me get in the better habit of writing on a daily basis.
