Thank you so much! And I love the suggestions to somehow add in the cave of two lovers. A Southern Water Tribe Avatar and an airbender, following in the footsteps of an airbender Avatar and a Southern Water Tribe waterbender, I see the vision, I really do, and I love the idea. But there are several things that would keep me from doing this.

First of all, Korra is not only an earthbender, but also a firebender, chances of getting Korra in that situation are a bit low. Not to mention all the technology and Naga, and there are just too many ways for them to either avoid or get out of the situation without going: "Let's kiss!"

That being said, I'm not saying it can't happen, and I might still do it, because it really is a nice idea and might be what Korra and Reader need at one point. So... keeping the idea in mind! Thank you again, and if you or anyone reading this has any ideas, please feel free to share them! 😁💙💙

Idk anything about Yellowjackets but i got curious cause y'know i like your writing so i read shadow, I JUST RECENTLY FINISHED IT and damn, mind you i haven't watch the series (?) yet, so i got curious and searched WDYM JACKIE DIED IN THE ORIGINAL?? I THOUGHT SHE'S THE MAIN CHARACTER (damn it's shauna) anyway i think I'll just stick with your fic and not watch the show 🥹

Well, first of all, thank you! I can't put into words how grateful I am when someone goes and reads a story I wrote without watching the original series or movie. So, thanks 😁💙💙

Good thing is the two stories you're waiting for are the two I'm very actively working on.

Yeah, there's really no hope for Nat and Y/N. Sorry.

Now, all of that being said, the actual show. So, you know how Jackie and Y/N are sleeping outside in chapter 18? Yeah, Jackie dies there. There's no one with her so she just freezes to death. I would recommend giving the show a chance, even if you're not all that into horror. The story is interesting, the characters are complicated, it has a mostly female cast, not to mention they recently finished filming the fourth season, which will also be the last, so that'll probably come out before the end of the year.

Not to mention there are things in the show that I've skipped that would likely make the story even better for you. For example, in episode 1 there's a party where Shauna and Tai get into an argument and Jackie takes the two of them as well as Nat, Lottie, Van and Laura Lee away, lines them up and wants them to say one nice thing about each other. She ends up complimenting them instead, and the compliments kind of foreshadow their future. She compliments Laura Lee's faith, Laura Lee partly dies because of it, she compliments Van's smile, Van gets her face mauled by the wolf. And there are whole other things I skipped, like Lottie and Laura Lee's relationship, or Tai's expedition to try and find help. So, I guess long story short, it's a show worth watching, if you like my story, you'll like the show as well.

Are you also doing the adult timeline?

I don't think so, I don't think it can even happen. Now, this is assuming every canon survivor survives Shadow as well, since I don't want to spoil anything.

Since Jackie lives, Shauna probably doesn't end up with Jeff, meaning there's no blackmail or Adam getting murdered.

Taissa has her plot, but frankly, she doesn't spiral the way she does in the show since, again, there's no blackmail and she isn't getting tangled up in that whole thing.

Van, Lottie, Misty and Mel more or less would have lived their lives the same way they did before the adult timeline starts. Travis might still go to Lottie, but that's assuming Nat overdoses and says that thing about bringing It back with them or whatever she said.

And then there's Nat, who, frankly, with Jackie sort of trying to keep her steady and Y/N eventually coming back, probably manages to stay away from the drugs and alcohol, or at least stays out of the constant rehab - back to addiction - rehab cycle.

And you can bet even if adult timeline happens Y/N and Jackie grab Nat the moment Jeff tries to blackmail them and go: "Nope! Fuck this shit, we're out."

So, no, I'm 95% sure I'm not doing the adult timeline. Also... Shadow is already long, we're over 170k words already and are still technically in season 1, start of season 2 if you want to be generous as far as matching canon time goes. I'm looking at a story that could easily reach 750k-850k words by the time I'm done with the teen timeline and 2002 timeline. By the time I reach the end of that the fandom will, let's be honest, probably be on life support.

In Book 4, yeah, I know, so far away. The thing is in Book 1 Reader isn't ready, books 2 and 3 happen so fast that there isn't really a moment to breathe.
