After multiple moves around Paris, our voice recorder finally gets turned on in the 8c gallery district of which Peter is a proud tenant - "The lease says I have to stay nine years, can you imagine?". He is inside a very seventies Peugeot camper van in which he has been taking trips around Europe this year with his girlfriend, Katia, before parking for a few months in Hamburg, a city he describes as a geographical blend ("an international city, over 60,000 ships a day"). It seems that Germany plays a dominant role these day in the Libertines. This is where Peter began a solo album --"only missing the vocals and it's finished" he jokes--and where he found a place for the band for the pre-Hyde Park rehearsals.
