Peter's Place
Bobby waved at the doorman as he entered Peter's building. He'd been here often enough that the guy just let him in. The elevator to the ninth floor seemed to be moving at a snail’s pace, and the closer he got, the more worried Bobby grew.
It wasn't like Peter to ignore him like this. Even if Peter was sick, he couldn't possibly have been sleeping the entire time. Bobby had looked back at his texts, and it had been over 16 hours since he’d found out that Peter wasn’t at work – for all he knew, Peter could have been sleeping since after rehearsal, or maybe he hadn’t even gone to rehearsal and had been in bed all day. If he’d even woken up to go to the bathroom or try to eat something, which he should’ve in an entire day, he would have at least sent Bobby a quick text to let his boyfriend know he was okay, even if he didn’t necessarily want company. And though they’d had a bit of a – well, it wasn’t even an argument, really, Bobby didn’t know what to call the awkward moment before he’d left on Tuesday night – they hadn’t really parted ways on bad terms, so he didn’t see why Peter would be ignoring him so completely.
As the elevator doors finally opened, Bobby took a deep breath before walking down the hallway to stand in front of Peter’s door. Another deep breath, two, and then he rang the doorbell. He’d feel bad if Peter was actually sleeping and he woke him, but at this point he wasn’t sure what else to do. After several minutes with no response, he pulled out his phone and sank to sit on the floor beside the door and text Peter.
