We take our shadows for granted. Everyone knows the story of Peter Pan and how he lost his shadow. Fortunately Nana saved it and Wendy sewed it back. Who knows how many adventures Peter's shadow may have had on its own before he was reunited with Peter. We all know that shadows can get lost in all the other shadows. What if your shadow was overwhelmed one day at work or at a playground by the shadow of a someone bigger? Then as the sun set it would be easy for it to get lost in the darkness. Would you even notice? Would you go home on your on? Many people don’t realize how to properly care for their shadows. They need to be close at night, except of course, when the moon is full and shadows run free. For sure there are those tough guy shadows who lurk by the street lights and hang around street corners all night long.
