the only time I see “can’t we let guys be friends” and “I don’t ship this bc I want the girl to be gay” is when it’s an interracial couple. that’s when everyone cares abt male friendships and lesbians when their white fave might be with a poc. maybe these guys saying this abt peter/ned and peter/mj could step back and make sure they REALLY care abt male friendships and lesbians, because they never do this abt white het couples and it’s getting old. didn’t see this with harry and gwen in tasm :/

from an actual bisexual: people need to stop that shit. stop saying you want peter to be bisexual and paired up with a guy when you also don't want him to be with ned. peter could be bisexual and still be in a relationship with a girl. stop invalidating bisexual people in relationships with people of the opposite gender. you're doing more harm then good with your fake wokeness because we know you don't really care about bisexual people, you just don't like mj. i've had it with this discourse

I absolutely relate like I hate that bisexuality is used as an afterthought and a quirky headcanon when we exist as people and not props for some weird misogynist agenda… our identity shouldn’t be used to satisfy a personal problem that people have with a fictional character. Like 10 pictures from set came out and people started losing their damn minds and at some point I need to learn to just laugh it off and enjoy the movie when it comes out but today is not that day lmao

hard pill to swallow: people complain about mj being rude and a bully, but if they kept her personality like that, but cast a white girl instead, they'd be all over her for being their sassy quirky woke queen. people only accept black girls if they're soft spoken and submissive, but since mcu mj is not like that, they hate her. they also try to push the "not like other girls" narrative onto her to try and make it seem like she hates other women, therefore their hate is justified (1/2)

@ anon talking about the importance of interracial couples i’m not gonna post that because I don’t want to get into name calling and shit but yeah people do boycott brands for using interracial couples and while there is an element of light skin privilege that changes that dynamic people still do have a a problem with zendaya being MJ because she’s black. there’s this girl on IG who’s very anti petermj and zendaya, and she was loving the ned/betty thing in ffh (i do too btw), but i then said “why do you like ned/betty so much when you’ve said the reason you don’t like petermj is bc they barely know each other and have no basis for a ship” and she said “well i heard ned and betty are a thing in the comics” like bitch?? so are peter and mj??? then she said mj just seems sarcastic and awkward, like did she not see how betty acts on the school news??
