As the sun sets on this Shabbat anticipating the start of the Festival of Lights, I am thinking of Peter, Paul, and Mary's call to never let the lights go out. The Ohr, the Light is what drives us.
It is my hope and prayer that the lights of Shabbat last throughout these eight days of Hanukkah. Light leads to love, to justice, and to the hope we so desperately need in this historical moment.
