So this has more to do with style than actual drawing, but how can I get a good painterly look with digital art? My art generally looks kind of flat and bland. Its like the difference between vector art and a Mone painting. Is it the brushes I use maybe? Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I think our coloring tag and digital painting tag can help you. I also think focusing on traditional art lessons like shading, lighting, Visuals and where to draw the eye can help improve your digital painting.

A drawing of some of our D&D characters sitting around the campfire from awhile ago. (Sorry in advance to anyone on mobile, the colors look darker.) 

In the bottom left corner is Trewak a halfling druid, sitting on the left on the log is my character Dandee Valwin a gnome ranger, next to him is Balistar a dragonborn barbarian, and over by her big Tibetan mastiff is Portia Hilltopple the halfling warlock and tiny terror of our party. (The dog’s name is Bear)
