FUN FACT for today: Dr. Keshia Gaines had a pet cat named Kaylynn Kaylee Bella Swan Gaines, aka "Kaylee" who passed away in March 2025. Amongst a rising number of celebrity animal lovers hosting extravagant send–offs for their pets, Dr. Gaines and her family held an elaborate funeral for their beloved cat. To honor Kaylee, a funeral service was held and included a tiny cat-sized casket, guest speakers, flower arrangements, gospel music, and custom printed programs. "It was traumatizing," said Dr. Keshia Gaines after the repast. "I'm grateful that the pet funeral home offered this type of closure," she continued. *In America, pet funerals are a booming business – according to reports, about 500,000 to 1.9 million pets in the USA are given funerals each year.
