When someone says something nice to me. I just do not know what to do. It was so bad that when Yiv said I was pretty, I didn't know what to do with myself, I wanted to flee or crawl sideways back into the water. Whenever I looked nice or did good for our family, my mother or father would just nod, maybe because this was what they expected of me. If you didn't try hard though, you would sure hear it. It was funny though. Last night Alexsander told me I was a good cook, and I felt so proud. I do not think he gives complements very easy. I am the happiest person. I am also really nervous as to what he thinks of me. I guess if he didn't like me, I would sure know it.
I am really worried about Hanna. After I fed Alexsander, I went to visit his brother. We sat up waiting for Hanna, Alexi showed me how to knit, and the suggestion of Vodka was there. I had thought of coffee though. Compared to one of the brother's I would not last drinking! That and I got the feeling I would fall asleep and not be very helpful. The last few times William was fought, we did so in a group and there were still casualties. While I have faith in Hanna I am really scared. We protect and help each other. Sometimes, I would like to think that we are more than friends.. we are family. Even when we are apart.
We are all we have.
Everything fades but not our love for each other.
I thought about what I told Gilbert about Charlie. 'Sometimes if you love someone, you have to step back and let them do what they need to.' It's funny how I spoke of this and it happens. I know that if he looses, he could be sent back to us in pieces or worse. With William there is always a worse. I am so scared, and still I am staying back because he asked us. Why am I listening to Hanna, if Alexi did this, I would follow him anyway. Why is this different? Both are competent. So why??? I would give everything I had for any of them, how is it different? I am so upset. I am scared.
Yiv didn't come home yet. Will you do this as well Hanna?
I want a hug. I need to be half crushed to death by hugging.

A paper airplane drifts by Hanna's face, circling once before catching a draft and drifting off out of the room. Should the investigator follow it, he would find it comes to light upon a little, confectionary construction.
A note is wedged between two icing shingles: Merry Christmas, luv. We're thinking of you.
The plane doesn't go unnoticed, and something in him urges him to follow it. As it flutters out of the room, its absence tugs at his heart.
Then his eyes fall upon the sweet little house and the note. Hanna knows from whom it's come, and that realization brings tears to his eyes.
He wants to be happy. He wants to be thankful, but they're not there to thank; they're not home. He looks at the little house and in his frustration he rips at his hair. Why did they do this? To remind him that they're still there? That they're waiting for him, waiting for anyone to come and free them? How can he forget? How can he fucking forget? It haunts him.
In that instant he wants to smash the damn thing. Smash it and burn it and tear it all apart. But he doesn't. Why lash out at them? The anger is directed only at himself-- after all, he had hesitated when they'd needed him.
It's a sign, a sign of hope that they're still alive. They're alive and not giving up. Has he? They've offered him this, and he's seriously thinking of destroying it? How dare he? How dare he disrespect such a thing?
And that's when the tears finally fall.
"...Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, little mate."
"Wow... Gosh, it's so pretty! Thank you, Miss Yvonne!"
Arrival
They're due any minute.
There's so much fuss being kicked up that you'd think the Queen was arriving. Of course, Rico knows this isn't so. No Queen. The Prince and Princess, perhaps.
He isn't happy with any part of this. He's not happy that they're being forced here, he isn't happy that they ARE here to once again become the sole object of people's concern, and he's not happy of the role Grigori plays in this.
Rico's actually a bit angry about that. The Heavy isn't like him. He had the ability to refuse, but didn't make use of it. As fond as he was growing of the Russian, his constant lack of capitalizing on his lack of strings drove Rico crazy. But, Grigori was the responsible type. That and the damage done to his self-esteem and his own physical hurdles were strings of their own, he supposed.
Still didn't change the fact that he could snap the necks of anyone in his way if he wanted to leave, though.
Sighing, the Sniper leans against the wall, hidden in the shadows as the train appears in the distance. It was going to be chaotic. He might have appreciated at least that much before.
Head-canons of People Pearl thinks of a lot
I think Pearl secretly equates most human beings to Yiv, especially right now. Why Yiv is the standard of humans is unclear, but it's kind of cute. She is very fond of her, and is impressed by the lady sniper. I think part of this, is that women of Pearl's age and era were very different. She is in awe of her.
Vantas strikes Pearl as a knight from beyond the stars. She is fascinated by his scars, his crude but effective humor, and thinks he is just plan handsome. Who would not like Vantas? They would have to be crazy.
Hanna is lonely but so brave. She is not sure if brave and not thinking things through go hand in hand or not. He is one of those people that change your life, and are completely unaware of it. Hr has a way of growing on you, and his smile is his best feature.
Pearl loves Alexi. He is familiar and loving. He reminds her of the best parts of her homeland, and when you are homesick this is something to hang on to. Alexi's heart is so beautiful, that Pearl sees a light around him, she has never met anyone like Alexi.
