Last @wedine.wedo with @chefnicolaelica I choose wines from the est and west ends of Romania. 🇹🇩 On the est we have near the Danube Delta the ViaViticola Sarica Niculitel winery, the place where Aligote found a second home and is the flagship of the place. It is earthy with lemon, limes, pomelo and dry grass yet crispy with good acidity and body, a good match for pike. For the marrow I consider a red was mandatory so the blend between Cabernet Sauvignon and Feteasca Neagra Caii de la Letea was a good option because the wine is balanced with medium body, ripe soft tannins, good acidity. On the west end side we have @petrovaselowine from Recaș area, not far fromTimișoara. A sparkling is a must have so the fruity Bendis made from Pinot Noir come easy foie gras. Bubbles are good anytime so they act like a preparation of the palate before white. At the end with the meat main course the 2015 Ovas was like the coronation of the table. Round, powerful, very long.
