i'm thinking about how as pevensies grow up, they won't fit into mr. and mrs. beaver's house.
Edmund is the first one to hit his head to the door. He walks casually but then hits his head and realizes how tall and big he's become.
Peter is the second one to realize he is big now (Somehow Edmund became taller faster than he did and Peter heard so many jokes about it when he was shorter than Edmund for a while). When he tries to enter to the house, his shoulders hit the door and he can't just walk in there. He has to turn his body.
Susan is the third one. When she casually walks in, holding her dress so that she won't step on it, she hits her crown to the door and it falls to the ground. While picking up her crown and putting it back to her head, she realizes she is taller now.
Lucy is the last one. She walks in there but she suddenly notices she had to lean down to not hit her head to the door. She did it without realizing what she was doing. She looks at the door and sees she is as tall as it is.
The biggest problems start when they are in the house. As they are taller, bigger, heavier now, they don't know how to move. Because everytime one of them wants to help Mrs. Beaver, they hit something. They break so many things. Jars, glasses, candles, plates.
Mr. and Mrs. Beaver don't mind though. They are too happy to be annoyed by them and things they break. They are happy to have them in the house and talk about the old days. They both are so proud of all of the siblings and everything they've done.
But one day, after the siblings've left, Mrs. Beaver suddenly starts crying. Mr. Beaver asks her what is wrong and Mrs. Beaver answers: “They grew up so fast. Even Lucy is now too tall to pass the door. They are not the confused and innocent children you found in the woods anymore. They had to grow up, in a very short time.”
Mr. Beaver gives his wife a tissue and says she is overreacting. He says he needs to check out their wood stock and leaves.
He too cries outside, standing in front of their door. He knows. He knows that they had to grow up, in a very short time. But not just physically.
