In media for younger audiences LGBT+ representation is often times so absolutely non-existent that we just roll with the fact that those people simply don’t exist in these universes.
Whenever LGBT+ characters start to show up - and even if it’s just through fanart/fanfiction - a certain group of consumers starts to rage like we are going to take their favorite toys away. There is total incomprehension. How is it, that we are unable to see that our “liberal bullshit” doesn’t belong, that it doesn’t exist there?
And I used to just think, “yeah, there are no LGBT+ characters in that series. Having some there would feel out of world, I guess...”.
And then I read someone basically saying to that kind of thinking:
I won’t let you have a world where LGBT+ people don’t exist.
For some reason that blew my mind. It’s true. Some people imagine worlds where LGBT+ people don’t exist... that it would be “wrong” for them to be there.
And that’s fucking wrong.

Larcade whispered that last reference to be sure his mother wouldn't listen to it.
Cana arrived half an hour later and helped them with the cake. Mavis didn't want to tell them for who that cake was. When the cake was finished, they made the lunch.

- But we made another one! It's a chocolate cake with strawberries!

Mavis showed the cake to the reader. The words "Happy birthday Chiara" were written in it. The Fairy Tail logo was at both sides of the cake.
- Happy birthday, Chiara! - said Larcade, Cana, Over and Zera from the background.

On Saturday 8 June, Paris Saint-Germain’s first team doctor, Dr Laurent Aumont, and the club’s Medical Board member and leading figure in sport medicine Professor Gérard Saillant assessed the injury picked up by Neymar Jr in Brazil‘s preparation match for the Copa América last Wednesday.

The two doctors diagnosed a sprain of the lateral ligament of the right ankle without surgical indication, to be treated with conservative treatment. The Paris Saint-Germain striker is expected to return on the field in four weeks time.
