My Engineer - ep 12/4

And here we are at part 4 (the rest: Frong/Thara, Mek/Boss, Bohn/Duen) with the couple, which made me scream this episode and made me fall in love with their relationship over and over again <3

Ram/King! *___* this episode they gave us everything and so much more! They killed me with their interactions and revived me again, giving me more life than before. So please bear with me if this one is gonna be mostly squealing and screaming! <3

We were blessed with so many scenes and both of them starting the episode! *_*  aaaaaaaand what I wanted to happen, happened! They both were clinging to each other as they jumped back, but mostly King to Ram XD

This scene was comedy GOLD and I love it XD two cuties, communicating in their own style to make sure they’re both safe! <3

First of all: I want this FLAT! Could someone please help me design my flat like that? Gosh ...

Second: those two behaving like tired parents and I’m here for it! They’re already so much in sync in their domestic behaviour, making my heart go soft!

And the way they look at each other like this? So comfortable, so trusting? They’re in this together already and they’ll do this together. King could have tried to entertain his nephews on his own and Ram could have said “No” and gone his merry way with his dogs to avoid the kids. But they won’t leave the other alone at all. Just moved together and already ready to stick together! <3

Ugh, Ram’s gaze? FEELS! This boy is in so deep, he’d do anything for King. His eyes speak of pure adoration and love. Even if King doesn’t know exactly, yet, but it’s all there ...

DOMESTICITY! I’m here for it! UGH! Let their biggest problem be kids and dogs and taking care of their plants while yearning for each other <3

One thing: Please don’t let King’s sister come into this! She and those fangirls annoy me, seriously >.> and I’d say Ram’s face says it best!

Still, for both of them to DO the race and bet on it? They must be sure to win or ready to kiss. And let me tell you, King would probably be the one kissing friends without thinking anything about it, because he’s calm and simply like this. Ram would freak out, but he’s definitely ready to kiss <3

Look at their happy little faces, King’s fluffy, flying hair and Ram’s adoring gaze! Wow ... they’re such an amazing couple and I love them! So ... comfortable with each other and you see the steps they take. How they slowly get closer and closer. I’m both at the same time, falling in love with their love and each of them again and again.

Of course they fall and I’m here for it, because please gimme all those tropes *_* especially, if it ends ...

with King (with the fluffiest hair EVER,like HOW is this possible??!!) to keep staring, experiencing The Daze and having another gay panic?! <3 if those boys wouldn’t have taken pictures, he and Ram would have stared at each other for an eternity! I guess King really lives in the present and tries not to overthink too much, enjoying his time with Ram and taking what he gets right now. Maybe he’s so happy to have Ram with him like that, to have him trust him like this, he doesn’t even dare to think further. But it gets more and more difficult with moments like this, which make him realise there’s more. Which make him realise he’s already in so deep. But it’s good, because although Ram knows about his own feelings far longer, he needs to go slow, to build this relationship step by step and decide on his own how much he shares.

It was just a fantasy, but this is what happened in their hearts, okay?

King hits again! Getting the kids back, getting themselves food and ...

knowing exactly what’s going on in Ram’s mind, but still asking, caring *goes soft until they’re goo on the ground* ...

the way he simply lies next to Ram, stares at him, wondering how he can make it better, how he can support Ram, ...

Okay, THIS here is important, because it’s what King usually does. He doesn’t overthink he acts. Not unthinking of course, but not worrying himself for hours as well. And usually it works, but not with his feelings for Ram ...

King making Ram smile made my day ... it’s one of those moments which gave me life and some trust in romance back <3 it’s also one of those moments making them seem so much like a couple, knowing what they like, knowing how to treat each other and it’s so beautiful.

UGH! *heart explodes*

this might be the first time for Ram, someone cares so damn much and wants him to be happy so much ... and is happy like this about one smile. And I guess Ram smiles usually, but not like this. Not with such a happiness <3

King being so happy he could make Ram smile (and probably relieved as well, because he cares and worries!), but he didn’t expect ...

... for Ram to stare back and give him this look! King is shook, he’s overwhelmed by his own emotions, by Ram’s emotions, his serious but soft gaze ...

and King can’t take it, needs to break the contact and WOW, this is such a MOOD. His heart must be racing and he must be so confused by the tension, the meaning of it all ...

Ram is content, knowing this is no rejection, only another step in their relationship. And this picture here is so beautiful, so THEM! Content and comfortable with each other, whether they talk or not!

Ram in his protection mode!! Save King! Look at his chin, he’s ready to strike! The details Perth brought into portraying Ram is amazing and I bow before him!

I don’t like King being hurt, but I love how it’s now Ram’s turn to take care of King. He makes sure King is okay, he stays by his side, even if it hurts himself and he KNOWS what King is afraid of and that’s the shit! That’s romance and friendship and love and tenderness.

And this here also makes King human. He has his fears and he doesn’t hide them. He shows Ram it’s okay to be afraid and you can be brave and have fears. They don’t make him less of a man or human, but worthy all the same.

THIS FACE HERE KILLED ME!

This isn’t gay panic, but complete AWE and shock to know Ram stayed right by his side, let King scratch him, gave King something to hold on, even if it hurt himself. He’s shocked and overwhelmed by the meaning, but the magnitude of the gesture, despite those few words. King is already neck-deep in his feelings and realising them, shocks him more and more. As well as realising Ram’s feelings. This right here is poetry, pals! <3

Ram sleeping in the same bed as King to take care of him and to be by his side squeezed my heart so tight, I’m not sure I’ll ever recover from it! Q.Q

Also his soft hair ... <3

ajshvdjahsd King touching Ram’s chin, his tattoo ... especially such an intimate part while being in pain and sleepy and thankful to Ram is everything!

And then, although he’s the one being hurt, he cares for Ram, tells him it will be okay, tells him he knows, tells him it will get better. It’s my headcanon, they will both stop having bad dreams when they sleep in one bed, making each other feel safe enough for the nightmares to stop.

It’s so cute and soft how King wants to know about Ram’s tattoos to distract himself and Ram indulges him to make him feel better. Because that’s how it should work in a relationship *SIGH* and then? Then King falls asleep, finally distracted and comfortable enough to relax ...

What’s it with Lay and showering with his crushes in shows? XDD

Also, this time Ram has the Gay Panic, and WOW, that’s the face of someone panicking a lot ...

... and resigning to his own fate XD

Look at those puppy eyes! <3 <3 I’m once again amazed by how multileveled those characters are. And by how much growth they show. But also by how the director shows us more and more bits of them with each episode, making us get to know them better with each step.

King once again caring for Ram, sharing his music as if it’s the most natural thing in the world, being happy about Ram’s smile ...

And Ram putting one on TOP of that! Like wow! A smile is already a lot, but he also says “I like”, which can mean “I like it” or “I like you”. He’s a smooth bastard, isn’t he? UGH! Giving King all those gentle love confessions, going those extra steps and getting more and more sure of it, more and more comfortable. He doesn’t look away after this, but keeps smiling <3

And then he does THIS! Scratching King’s itch? Like ... the intimacy to do this, to dare doing it, is amazing once again. And King? Is shook once more (he’s doing that a lot lately and I adore it). My guess is, this moment here? With Ram doing something mundane as scratching him, makes him realise so much more. He realises what could be, but it’s still overwhelming him, because he doesn’t know how to react, what to do now. And maybe he’s still unsure if it’s real. Maybe it feels like a dream to him, something he hasn’t expected, but it’s happening and he has no strategy as how to go on.

This astonishment of King is what’s so relatable. To know someone can be sure of themselfes, in touch with themselves, but still freak out about something like this, a touch, a gentle gaze ...

He can’t ignore it this time. He can’t simply let it go either. This time it stucks with him, makes him wonder and start thinking, overthinking. Because there’s no way to evade it this time. It’s time for some realisation!

I’m sooooo looking forward to next week! This episode gave us so much for them, so many feelings, so much growth (especially regarding King’s own realisation) and so many more steps towards each other. They don’t stop trying, thinking that’s the best they could know each other. No, they keep going, keep learning about each other, caring for each other even deeper than before.

RamKing - ramble part 2 (part 1)

King’s cry for help and the way he sits there, watching the dogs? Awwwwww~~~ such a cutie! Especially since he’s again showing his own vulnerable side instead of only being the strong one. Which makes them such a good pair <3

Look at this precious bean, falling deeper and faster!

Wow, King telling Ram to keep the dogs as long as he stays because he needs them, instead of accepting Ram’s offer to bring them to Duen. That’s LOVE. He may not realise his feelings yet, but he goes to great lengths to keep Ram comfortable and safe. It’s as if he’s going with the flow, doing what feels right, but not realising what it means. What it means for him and what he does to Ram when he says things like this, just because it feels natural to him and comes from his heart ... imagine what’s going on behind this calm, soft face as he hears how someone sees what he needs and will give it to him like this ... imagine! <3

Let’s talk about Ram and King when Ram shows King his plant. I mean I don’t even know where to start, but maybe with Ram actually taking the plant with him wherever he goes, especially when he feels down. Because he didn’t plan to run away, just wanted to go on a walk to clear his mind when he met his father and King later. So he didn’t plan on showing it to King. Him showing it was a special gesture, a way to say ‘Thank you’, to say ‘I care for you’ because he shows ‘I care for your present’. Maybe he wanted to give something back, maybe he wanted to distract King from the dogs, maybe he wanted to show how well he had cared for this gift. This gift which kinda represents King’s heart, even if King doesn’t know it. But it represents King himself, reminding Ram of him whenever he looks at it. And he wants to keep King by his side somehow. Ram could have been embarrassed about taking the plant with him, but instead he showed it to King, told him the reason he took it with him was because it’s important to him! And this ... to be so open and vunerable, to confess so much emotion, to tell King basically HE is important to Ram, was brave and sooooooo amazing. Ram surely had to get out of his usual way to do it. And at the same time he wanted to do it so urgently, he HAD to. He could have ignored it, not said anything, but he chose to talk, to say those piercing words to King. To leave King flabbergasted and confused, because to know this? It’s mindblowing and King doesn’t know what it means yet, doesn’t expect such emotions, such care, for himself to be so important to Ram. Someone who simply does what’s right, he may not have thought deeper about why he goes to such lengths for Ram. And when Ram says such things he freezes up, confused with a racing heartbeat, for once speechless ...

And Ram also doesn’t expect anything back, doesn’t demand a reaction or an answer. He wanted to say it, to make it clear and he did, giving King the opportunity to think about it, to wonder, to react as he feels right and Ram won’t judge. He’ll simply be a shy cutie after being the bravest ever! Yes, my love for Ram is as big as my love for King <3

And it’s also so relatable to say something brave and both people being overwhelmed and kind of ignoring it, watching each other carefully as they try to get closer and to find out about their own feelings ...

Well hello, confident King who doesn’t hesitate to say things like this!! OMFG! I know he likes to provoke his sister, but this? No “he’s staying over” or something similar, but “living together”??? Boooooooy! Once he commits, he commits completely and he’s already cool with this. Let me tell you: I’d definitely give a friend a place to stay over, but this amound? Wow! It’s something else, especially when you think how almost no one knows about them spending so much time together and being close like that. It’s still them in their little bubble and they want it that way <3

Okay, first of all: the perspective of domesticity between them? Ram and King living together and having kids with them and dogs and taking care of them and each other? Well, that was fast, boys! XD

Looking forward to next week! <3

But the best of all is definitely the fact both of them are kind of uncomfortable about one of the factors and now BOTH their fears are coming at them and I almost fell off my chair watching this! XD

Look at their precious little faces, being completely in shock, relying on each other! Please let them climb on each other while trying to avoid what’s coming next week!

Those two have my heart and my soul and I’m in love with their relationship! The way they get to know each other more and more. The way they care for each other and keep caring, soft and gentle and cheeky. The way they can be open and emotional and even overwhelmed, but it’s simply okay. It’s okay, it’s part of their relationship, of their growth, of their love.

King headcanon

Last night, after the 10th episode of My Engineer, I realised something important about King. Something which makes us all and especially Ram fall so hard for him.

King doesn’t expect anything.

Please bear with me for a moment.

King is very caring. He takes care of his plants, of his friends, his juniors and of course especially of Ram. He can wordvomit, but he’s actually a very private person and he draws a fine but strict line to protect his private space.

Since we’ve seen his sister and his friends I don’t wonder why.

But we can see it also with the way he behaves with others.

He may help his juniors, but no one dares to misuse his care and friendliness. When he is finished caring he goes away instead of waiting until the others are finished. He tried the same with Ram several times as well, although that didn’t go as planned.

He calmly tells people ‘No’ when they interrogate him and I wonder if any of his friends have been to his condo yet (not his parent’s home, that’s more open I guess), as well as his secret space (except for Ram now *cough*). It’s episode 10 and none of their friends knew anything about King and Ram meeting till now. It may be because King doesn’t want anyone else to intrude, or because he doesn’t share such things with anyone usually.

So we have someone who is private and has clear rules drawn when it comes to social contact. He cares a lot, but doesn’t let people abuse him.

And he doesn’t expect anything back.

He doesn’t expect the juniors to pay him or anything. They ask him, he helps and goes away again. A ‘Thank you’ is much appreciated, but that’s it.

The same with Ram. He helps him as soon as he realises Ram is in trouble, but he doesn’t expect ANYTHING. Not even a ‘Thank you’, especially no words.

There’s no reward he wants to get for being nice and helpful and every ‘Thank you’ he actually gets (may it be a dinner or actual words from Ram) surprises him, makes him excited and giddy like a little child. Because he didn’t expect it.

He doesn’t help Ram to get more words. He doesn’t apologise to get more words or any affection as well. But when he gets them he’s astonisched and happy, giddy and even cheeky. Most importantly: getting those words doesn’t make him expect Ram to speak the next time. He goes with the flow and looks at what is needed instead of wanting something out of it.

Maybe that’s because of his love for plants or because he grew up like that, but King knows he can’t force anyone for anything and he geniunely cares. No secret motive, no hidden agenda. He cares and is happy to see his plants and friends happy. That’s it.

And I think that’s a very amazing character trait! Something we don’t see often, because people either have something they want to achieve with their behaviour, or they care too much and get abused and hurt. But someone who cares for others, but also knows how to care for himself, keep himself safe? That’s seldom.

King isn’t a „nice guy“. He’s an amazing, precious being and no wonder Ram fell for him so fast!

I mean, King doesn’t even expect a friendship and would have totally backed off if Ram would have shown no signs of being interested in him or saying „No“ from the start. And Ram wouldn’t have had any problems showing if he wouldn’t have liked the contact. It was more of a problem showing his interest.

So now we’re at King’s relationship with Ram.

He was curious and he tried to learn more about Ram. Started to care for him even, as he does for anyone. He also drew those lines (to protect himself or because of the non-expection-part), but Ram broke those. He stopped King all the time, holding onto him, thanking him, giving him actual words.

Not because King tried desperately to get them from him or pressured him (instead he tried to find other ways to communicate), but because he DIDN’T. Someone who is so shy and has such trouble speaking up would get even more shy if someone tried to pressure him into talking. Instead, King lets him be. That must have been an amazing experience for Ram.

This man he was interested in, accepted him like this, cared for him, was interested in him, talked to him, without expecting anything in return. No affection, no words.

It makes Ram comfortable enough to actually talk.

When he does talk, King is excited and happy and must make Ram feel special, because he takes every word Ram says seriously, is happy about every little bit Ram opens up about. And so he continues to talk to King if possible. Because it makes King happy and he doesn’t EXPECT it. That’s why every word Ram says is so damn special, even more special than before. And that’s also why he HAD to say those words to him in the garden.

But King, who offered a hide out and to listen to him, didn’t expect Ram to take the offer. He didn’t think Ram would use it the next instant, maybe ever. He didn’t think he’d get any words as well, especially THOSE!

King doesn’t expect to get anything for his care, least of all affection, but from Ram he gets it all and that’s what stunned him. He’s not used to this, has drawn those lines for everyone else, maybe doesn’t even dare to wish or think? Because he has developed feelings already and from what we’ve seen he’s also interested in knowing if Ram is in love with his neighbour. But does he expect something so important and emotional as a reaction? No, he doesn’t. Like at all. And that’s what makes him freeze up and have this awkward reaction.

Because holy smokes, this isn’t what he bargained for. Cool Boy developing feelings? Can he even dare to think that? This wasn’t supposed to go like this and for once he actually gets something back and it isn’t just a ‘Thank you for your concern’, but it is so much more. The intensity of Ram’s feelings and the weight of his words must have caught King off guard. Because he’s happy about every word and takes it seriously, but doesn’t expect it.

The lines King drew have been crossed and he has no idea what to do, what to say and how to react.

King got into Ram’s personal space because he found ways to communicate with Ram. At the same time, Ram stepped into King’s personal space, suprising him to the point he doesn’t know what to say anymore.

And that’s it. That’s the theory in my head at least.

My engineer - ep 13/2

Since I feel with King now (thanks to a headwound) and there are soooo many feels, I will do this one second this time :P

Please let me gather my wits and sorry for the maybe incoherent rambling now!

Let’s start with a cute shot of King wandering around in the water and once again the questin: why do they ALL still wear their trousers??? XD

Of course Ram is worried and he should be. I understand King, thinking he’s got it under control and it’s not as bad, but yeah ... take better care of yourself please! v.v

Another reason for his strong reactions to being cared for is this: he’s used to care, but not being cared for. If it happens like it does with Ram, he feels guilty. He doesn’t want people to worry, especially as much as Ram does. He doesn’t want to ruin anyone’s joy and again especially for Ram. He’s been cared for for days now, Ram concentrating on him so much, King probably feels bad about it. That’s why he also says “it’s fine” all the time, trying to show Ram he doesn’t need to worry and care so much.

And seriously, I feel this deep in my bones!

It also explains a lot in this episode. Because we get the gay panic and him getting more and more nervous around Ram, wondering what that means. Maybe he even feels good being cared for by him and that’s exactly WHY he feels even more guilty. He doesn’t want to use Ram, doesn’t want him to neglect his friends for being with him and that’s why he’s gonna push Ram away, thinking that’s selfless and Ram deserves to spend time with someone else, not worrying all the time, not needing to take care. And it gets probably worse because King would actually like to care for Ram himself and he does, but it’s not working out as smoothly as he wishes.

Now let’s get to the scenes!

Ram doesn’t take any “I’m fine” shit from King and that’s good! Because the boy needs some self preservation, seriously!  And it shows how comfortable he feels with King already, clearly saying “No, you’re coming with me now” with his words and his behaviour. King still wants to show he’s fine, despite just having hit his head at a damn stone, making Ram go crazy with worry and so of course Ram won’t have any of it, getting King to safety. And King needs to learn to let others care for him q.q

He looks like a wet puppy, stunned someone won’t let him do what he wants anymore and sees through his BS. Because yes, saying he’s fine after THIS is BS. But for once he’s too focused on seeming strong to realise he’s hurting himself more ...

Okay, this scene made me soooooooo soft! UGH! Ram binding a crown to make King feel better and then his gaze! And King, like a real “Pflanzenprinz” (plantprince) wearing it proudly *SIGH*

And then this! He compliments Ram, who definitely likes it, but King still doesn’t want to say who exactly it was who gave him the crown. Maybe because he still can’t accept the feelings he has for him or is still confused about them or maybe because he doesn’t want his friends to coo all over them. Or because it’s all too personal yet to reveal it openly. Or because he wants to keep their little bubble ...

And finally, after 13 episodes, someone has an IDEA! *claps slowly*

Making King wonder. Wonder what Ram thinks about this. Till now it has been kind of a joke for them, but with all his confusion it’s getting harder to see it like one and maybe he wonders if they actually look cute together. If Ram thinks so, too and what this all makes them ...

And then he tries to lighten the mood and to care for Ram once more but it hurts Ram this time.

I love how King always asks instantly if that has been too much and accepts Ram walking away, but it also hurts. He wants to get his balance back, his own confidence in this, but he can’t atm. She’s been shaken to the core and every step is suddenly a shaky one.

What I LOVE about them? Their communication, because seriously, WOW. Some things are yet unsaid and yes, King has to work through all of it himself, but he apologises! And Ram listens! And despite being hurt earlier, he understands King and knows he meant well and forgives him! And this is such an important part in their relationship <3

OF COURSE King will try to go to the pharmacy himself instead of waking Ram! OF COURSE he feels bad for being the weak one now. OF COURSE he knows he’s behaved wrong after the fall in the water and he wants to take this responsibility now. But OF COURSE it doesn’t work out like this, making Ram worry even more and mulitplying King’s guilt and shame. All of it mixed with those confusing feelings about Ram q.q

Boy, go and help King!!! Look at those puppy eyes! I love how vunerable Perth presents Ram. Openly vulnerable  and this is all making me feel FEELS ...

Ram had the fucking medicine for King, because he cares and knows and wanted to be prepared to care even more and if this doesn’t hit your heart, I don’t know what would! He wants to be there for King so much and it hurts to see him being pushed away. But it’s really difficult, because he wants to do his best and they’ve been sleeping close, King touching Ram already, but right now it’s too much for King, who feels even more like an loser, as if all he’s doing is worrying Ram and everytime he tries to not worry him, he makes it worse. That’s why he can’t accept the extra effort atm.

Look at him saying sorry and being concerned af. He knows he fucked up, but feeling bad is more prominent just now than his own health. Or than letting himself be cared for. And it’s not nothing, he has a serious head wound ...

and btw on a completely different note: Was anyone else as bothered about them using their damn sleeping bags as pillows instead of blankets???!!!! XD

UGH! The care, the worry, the softness, I CAN’T *cries ugly tears*

And then Ram goes the extra mile to cuddle with King to give him warmth. And this makes King freak out:

- his heart is probably going crazy right now, his mind a whirlwind!

- he doesn’t want Ram to NEED to go this extra mile and be “forced” to do this

- he feels bad about being hurt and needing help and ruining Ram’s time here

- his head is probably still hurting like crazy with his fever and the pain ...

Ram is sooooo damn soft for him *continues to cry*

And here’s the fucking moment which broke my heart.

King pushes Ram away, can’t let him go on, because he feels bad like this: confused and guilty, a complete, painful mess. And since Ram is so gentle and caring he doesn’t know what exactly those feelings are, Ram is having. Is he abusing Ram? Is Ram feeling anything? Does he feel being forced to do it? Shouldn’t Ram be cared for instead? Shouldn’t he be happy and with his friends, enjoying the moment?

King can’t say it while looking at Ram. He has to say it with his eyes closed and it breaks my heart again and again! He thinks he’s doing something good here, letting Ram go, giving him the freedom ... but in reality he’s hurting himself and Ram. Who looked as if he was about to cry and I was crying with him, with them Q.Q

King is NOT pushing Ram away because he needs his own time, but because he doesn’t want his wound to hinder Ram. Ram moved in with him, because he was vulnerable and suddenly the roles are changed. Especially with King being the senior ...

Go on, break my heart, boys *cries more ugly tears*

Ram thinks it’s rejection, I guess. He thinks he’s being pushed away with all his feelings, probably not able to imagine King might not know them for the first time... and now he yearns and hurts and I’m yearning and hurting with them as well ...

But Ram still worries when King seems to be in pain, but now he thinks he’s no right to go to him and care for him anymore, because he was pushed away before.

And King? King tries to endure his pain alone so Ram is free from this duty. But he’s also alone and in pain and ...yearning, because he WOULD like to have Ram by his side, but that would be selfish, wouldn’t it?

Okay, that was that. Cuteness and lots of pain in one episode and my heart is still hurting with them.

But I thought this was natural and necessary. Like I said, I understand King’s reaction. They’ve slowly developed feelings, but none of them are sure the behaviour of the other person towards them is so special. Ram probably hoped, King doesn’t dare to believe it. King needs to learn Ram wants to care and worry about him, wants to stay by his side and King doesn’t need to be the emotional support all the time.

My guess for next week is this: Ram will pull back, thinking he’s beeing rejected, wanting to give King space. And King will be yearning a lot, hopefully resulting in him finally realising and accepting his feelings, telling Ram (maybe a bit of a heated discussion and a kiss????), because now he needs to show Ram he wants him by his side. Ram probably won’t do it by himself ...

For me, this isn’t an alternative, but totally fitting with the other headcanon. Ram is definitely hot and bothered by King touching his tattoo. At first, he’s flustered mostly, but at some point, he won’t hesitate to drag King off to the next horizontal surface and ravish him.

I guess King not doing it on purpose, but touching him purely because he’s fascinated would make it worse for Ram. Because they’d lie in bed and King would caress his tattoos with feather-like touches, completely fascinated and fixed on it, while Ram would go crazy with his heart in his throat. He’d be unable to think about anything else besides where those fingers would wander next and the shivers running over his body. I guess his skin is way more sensitive around his tattoos and he’d react especially fast to those touches.

But Ram would also be torn between watching King being fascinated + enduring the longing and pulling him close again to kiss him or grab his hand and move it downwards on purpose while keeping their eyes locked.

And King? King would sometimes be fascinated enough to forget how Ram reacts to his touches and sometimes he’d do it on purpose, enjoying every moan and every shiver he causes, waiting how long Ram endures it this time.

I guess at some point King would definitely realise how his fascination makes Ram hot and bothered, but he might still simply adore his tattoos without anything else in mind. Not always, but sometimes. Because for him, Ram is beautiful and his tattoos are part of his beauty, which he adores.

Don’t worry, poor Anon, I am with you. As well as Ram and lots of people by now. But damn, to ask me such a question? That’s not an easy one at all! But I’ll try answering it. Not sure if this will make anything better for you (or us), but let’s see ;)

Why do we love King?

Here is a quick list of „10 things I love about King“ with a long-ass meta-essay after that for anyone who’s up for more reading ;)

He’s genuinely friendly and seems very authentic.

He’s an interesting, multidimensional character with hobbies and lots of internal thoughts, who I’d love to hang out with!

King being private means he has hidden sides which he only shows people he trusts and cares about. Since we as an audience get to see those too (his room and the secret place), we also feel special to him, giving us more of an emotional connection as with characters we know nothing about.

King respects boundaries. He may push a little as he did with Ram, but he’ll definitely back away once he realises someone is definitely not interested.

He’s funny and cheeky and smart, but without boasting about it.

He loves PLANTS <3

He observes and keeps things and information in mind to take care of you.

He seems very in touch with himself, knowing his own boundaries and having no problem with being emotional and soft (like apologising honestly without prompting, saying cheesy lines and putting flowers behind Ram’s ear)

He’s weird and we’re all weird, so of course, we love him!

Lay - because let’s be honest, we’ve adopted him already.

I’d say we love him, because we kind of want to BE him and have someone like him in our life at the same time.

Well, first of all, he is genuinely and authentically a nice, friendly and interesting guy. When he cares for people it doesn’t seem fake or overbearing. He doesn’t push into people’s life with force, but gives people a choice to get active as well to be in his company. And his friendliness is soft, but cheeky instead of innocent and naive.

King respect boundaries and has his own. He won’t overstep yours and he cares for his own. Which we wish others would do and often enough we could do as well (keep others at a healthy distance). People don’t abuse his friendliness because they respect him and wouldn’t that be nice?

King seems like he would make a wonderful friend most importantly. He’s funny, he cares but doesn’t abuse anyone or needs anyone to live. He seems like someone you could have deep conversations with but also talk complete bullshit and laugh for hours.

King LOVES plants. Seriously, when I saw his room I fell directly into the big King-dwell, because DAMN. A guy being so caring and careful with plants? Having them all around? Amazing!

And it shows he has hidden interests which you can’t guess at first sight. Which means he’s an interesting, multidimensional character who has hidden sides and who shows those sides only to people he cares about. Which we as an audience are because we were allowed to witness the moment he brought Ram into his room and into the secret space. The fact we now know something about him which probably most of his friends don’t know, makes us feel as if he trusts US as well and who wouldn’t love that?

King is interested in other people.

He watches and learns and asks questions in a very respecting but genuinely loving way. He won’t barge in with his questions, but he does it in small steps and carefully, giving other people the opportunity to let him or to push him away. And he takes those pieces of information and uses them. Not in a mean way, but to make those people (mostly Ram as we know) even more comfortable or to care for them. He KNOWS Ram won’t talk to many people and keep his problems to himself because he has watched him and interacted with him. So he knows when Ram is stressed and makes sure to offer him help. We see all those little interactions pay off, kinda.

As an opposite to maybe Duen and Bohn, who never really got to know each other. There was one moment when Bohn pouted about that and asked Duen a lot of questions, but otherwise, we don’t get any scenes in which either of them uses the information about the other to make them comfortable or to care for them. King does all of this.

And it’s an ability we would love to have (reading people so well? Knowing when our loved ones are scared even when they won’t say anything? Knowing what they need when they’re afraid? Damn!) but we also value in people around us.

Which brings me to the next part.

The way King interacts with people is something we would all love to find in a friend or lover.

He’s soft and caring, but he’s also funny and cheeky. He knows when to say ‘sorry’ (and you could even argue what he said wasn’t so bad! but King wondered and decided to apologise with his heart instead of a simple ‘sorry’), how to be charming and he is also very smart. We know that thanks to him tutoring others. He is smart, but he doesn’t boast about it. Instead, he even seems a bit embarrassed when others remind him of it. He watches and reads people even when those people are hard to read and not comfortable with sharing their feelings.

And let me ask you, how many of you wonder far too often if they can tell people about their problems? Or are too shy? Or don’t want to be a burden for anyone?

Wouldn’t it be perfect to have someone who simply sees what’s going on and offers his help? Without being overbearing? Respecting your boundaries at the same time? Knowing what to say but without expecting you to answer those questions?

King simply offers you a place to stay and someone to tell your problems to, but he’s not angry or disappointed when you choose not to when you choose to keep silent. With him, you don’t even need to use your words and he still keeps being nice and charming and caring!

It’s actually the opposite with him: he is happy about everything you share about yourself, regardless of the way you choose to share it. Via text? Via spoken words? Via eyebrow-game? He will love your response and it will surprise him to be trusted so much instead of seeing it as a trade for showing you his secret space.

King is also a private person and at least I can relate to this. I can word vomit, but I don’t want everyone to know everything about me. I rather keep it for my close friends. Often enough I wish I could be as good as King saying ‘no’ calmly and without feeling guilty when others ask and want stuff, because afterwards I often wonder if it was too much and feel uncomfortable. And even when he says ‘no’ he does it in a calm and friendly way so that no one asks twice, but accepts his answer.

King seems overall very in touch with himself. He seems to know what he wants and what he doesn’t want. And he will act on this WHILE considering the feelings of other people. He’s also not afraid to show when he’s afraid (like with the dogs) and saying why that’s so without fear of losing himself or his dignity. He really seems sure of himself but in a comforting way. Maybe Ram shakes this up now, making him realise feelings he hasn’t had before like that, but it never seems as if he would ever freak out about it like Bohn and Duen did. He won’t start insulting people because he falls for a guy and experiences feelings. He’s more the type to draw back if it gets too much or he’s too confused to function, but he would never lash out at Ram.

Which brings me to the next point: King also seems like the most non-violent person. Even though he’s giddy and able to word-vomit, he’s the person who would definitely try to discuss things, apologise and try to avoid any kind of fight. Which is funny because Ram is the quiet one, but he’s definitely ready to throw a punch. King would be the one to go between two people who’re ready to kill each other (except if it’s his friend getting punched over a guy, but that’s different). I can’t imagine him hitting anyone because of anger, but rather going away once he realises he’s too angry.

And that’s an important part of him! Because you feel secure and safe around him. He won’t throw a tantrum, he won’t use his strength to intimidate you and he won’t touch you without your permission. Whether as a friend or a lover, but I think I’d feel very comfortable and relaxed around him.

He always listens (and he really listens), but knows to talk well. He’s aware of your boundaries and won’t force himself into your personal space. He’s funny and charming in a comfortable way, instead of mansplaining his way like a bulldozer. He’s emotional and honest, but also private and selective of whom to trust. He cares, but he doesn’t expect to be treated the same. He’s happy about every bit you open up and he may try to push a bit, but he’ll never be angry or disappointed if you choose not to tell him or interact with him.

Also, he was described as someone who’s interested in weird things. And don’t we all think we’re at least a little bit weird?

Isn’t the thought of someone being interested in this weird something we are, even if we don’t talk or have a hard time to find a way to interact, amazing? Someone being so interested, they will keep trying to find ways to communicate, will take us seriously (even if it’s about a lucky pencil) and be genuinely interested in us?

In my opinion, a woman with King’s character would be as amazing because those are all character traits we’d love to have around us. They are real friends for all kinds of moments and you know you can depend on them. And someone like this as a lover would be mindblowing as well!

To have King be a man is especially amazing because usually, you have male characters, who bully their way into someone’s life, who use their body to intimidate people, who don’t respect boundaries in the name of love, expect to be rewarded for doing the bare minimum and act possessive and aggressive and whiney.

And here we have someone who isn’t all this and who’s still a complex character who definitely can be insecure or confused and questions himself.

King is someone we would all love to have in our lives and he’s also someone we would like to be as well.

And last but not least: Lay.

I mean, look at him. No wonder half the fandom decided to adopt him. His hair? His overall beauty? His calm but funny nature? He’s the perfect choice for King and I’m happy we got so lucky to watch this man portray this character!

Well, that was one hell of a ride and I’m pretty sure I forgot some points as well, but I can always make another post :D

I’m sorry if this isn’t very structured and if I repeated some things (They definitely deserve to be repeated anyway). The alternative would have been one big, long scream into the void!

RamKing - ep 14

RamKing made me feel so ... many damn feelings!

This confession of King was all I could have dreamed of, DAMN! The pain, the longing and the insecurity ... although no, he was quite sure Ram didn’t love him back and his own feelings were so overwhelming, so strong and he felt as if he was betraying Ram with them. Someone who’s so careful NOT to push anyone or make anyone do anything they don’t want to, he must have thought it would be a burden for Ram to know his feelings. And at the same time he realised bit by bit (especially when Ram cared so much for him and was so close, constantly) he couldn’t hide those feelings anymore. His urge to be close to Ram was too much to keep it inside himself and not say anything or act on it. And so, the one who can read Ram so perfectly, wondered all the time what Ram could mean and played it down, not believing Ram could have the same feelings. And yes, sometimes we as humans are so dumb. Because for us it’s clear Ram loves him with all his heart. But King probably rationalised everything, downplayed it out of fear or disbelief ... I feel with him on that, UGH

And Ram comes back again, because he doesn’t want King to hold himself back, but to do what he wants. He he might not know how to say it right now, but he will show and he will King stopp holding back ...

This kiss was everything ... those two got the most passionate kiss, the most amazing kiss of all. All the tension, all the yearning and longing was in it, all the fears, the hope, their love. Gosh, the way King keeps Ram close and how Ram instantly grabs King to make sure he can’t run away. The possessivenes which both displayed is making my heart race. Perth and Lay are amazing. They brought all those feelings in and made US feel all those feelings, all the pain and the longing, but also their love <3

And then them breaking apart only for a moment, but neither of them lets go. And King does this painful inhale and slowly seems to realise Ram actually kissed him back, but Ram won’t let him think too much or freak out even and damn ... they go back to seconds.

Waking up in each other’s arms ... wow, this made me so soft and I have to admit I screamed a lot in this episode and literally did a AJSHDFASJHDGAJS ... still hope my neighbours didn’t hear too much XD I have to admit I was afraid King wouldn’t remember and freak out, but WOW, the silent astonishment, the barely seen soft smile ... my heart overflew with love <3

And the Ram says he doesn’t remember! To take it back! Aaaaaaaaaaah boooooys! >.< what a whiplash for King! But at least he didn’t push Ram away again, instead being so damn soft when he said “We’ll see each other at the condo.” ... <3 <3 <3

Since this is basically the perfect transition for the next season and very much going the right way, I LOVE it!

And it’s perfect for them, because King was drunk the night before and I’m sure Ram wants to clear this up when sober ... and in their own bubble ... and with no one else around. Also also ... this way King knows and can prepare himself and Ram doesn’t need to say anything, because I guess his heart was in his throat when King asked him, maybe afraid King would freak out.

Ugh, those two have possessed my body and sould and I love ... I love ... I love them! <3
