From the creator of The Bright Sessions comes a thrilling new original rock audio drama. Phantom Pulse is the story of a 90s rock band going out on their very first tour. But this band isn't like any other–they don’t just play music, they exorcise ghosts with it. 

Phantom Pulse is currently crowdfunding for their first season. You can give to the Kickstarter now and get exclusive, limited edition merch, early access to the show, and much more. 

The five band members are being played by truly incredible actors: Nicholas Podany, Erika Ishii, Briggon Snow, Juliana Gutiérrez Arango, and Erin Caesar. And the creative team is made up of audio drama veterans: Lauren Shippen, Ella Watts, Evan Cunningham, and Brandon Grugle.

So I run an up and coming podcast production company out of my dorm room with my roommate, and my roommate happens to also be my best friend. She's also the person who got me into audio dramas. The first one I listened to just so happened to be The Bright Sessions by the amazing @thelaurenshippen

I laughed I cried I stared at my screen in shock and I went back for more again and again. It catapulted me into a world of storytelling and countless shows I love and adore and spend most of my spare time in.

So I painted my roomie a podcast groupie jacket featuring art from some of her (and my own) favorite shows.

Midnight Burger on the back with Effie and Zeb's outro quotes, The Bright Sessions on the front pocket, The Magnus Archives on the back of the collar, Phantom Pulse guitar pick on the front, and Two Thousand and Late under the collar.

So happy to have found a home in these shows and to get to make art with and for someone I love who introduced me to it all.

Hi everyone! I do not have an audio drama sunday roundup today. Instead what I have is a suggestion that YOU should go support @palimpsestproductions’s new project, Highgate Wood!

A rock and roll ghost story audio drama and a full album of songs. The Black Tapes meets Daisy Jones and the Six with a dash of Faust.

It’s a rock and roll ghost story! It comes with a full album! Who wouldn’t want to experience that!

Now y’all may be wondering: didn’t another rock band ghost story just finish crowdfunding? And yes, it’s true, Phantom Pulse made their goal for the bare bones of what they need to make the show happen, but Lauren Shippen will still have to fund production costs herself. Audio drama is expensive; musical audio drama doubly so. Can’t we bridge the gap for Highgate Wood? They only need $10k.

We as listeners are so lucky that supernatural rock bands are in the zeitgeist right now (see what I did there?), and I really want to see this show happen. I’m doing my part—join me! Throw a few bucks to Highgate Wood!
