I just stumbled onto your blog and wanted to tell you how happy I am. It's such an obscure concept and it works so well. Definitely one of the best parts of this fandom. Thanks so much!

Finding other people that have played this VN is the best. First time I've seen someone post anything about it on tumblr.
Seriously? It's one of the best VNs I've ever played. You'd think it'd have more exposure around here.
I'd been missing your presence on my dash recently and thought I'd look into it. Hope that client meeting you mentioned a while back worked out for you :) Had a chance to catch up on this season yet?
Nice to know I was missed! I’ll try to keep some stuff coming on here a little more regularly.
Right now I’m still a little behind, working on things like:
Still barely catching up on last season’s new episodes of Monogatari. My Shaft Head Tilt Counter(TM) overloaded and went on the fritz again, and I had to get it serviced, causing delays.
As far as the season itself, though, it’s got everything we liked from the first season: the lightspeed text-card cuts, the involved dialogue, the bizarre themes, it’s all there, and it all works, as far as I’m concerned. We even get some fun with time travel, which is NEVER a bad thing.
There’s also a bottle of scotch in it for anyone who manages to work “Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion-Heart-Under-Blade” into casual conversation and make it sound like a totally natural thing to say. I’m utterly serious. I’ll need to hear the recording for proof, though.
The first few episodes of Kyoukai no Kanata are standard KyoAni levels of gorgeousness as far as production value, though the main characters leave a little something to be desired for me.
I have to wonder if the production staff have some kind of computer in a basement lab somewhere that calculates standardized levels of moe and, in some chillingly clinical fashion, automatically adjusts the character designs for each new season based on the new data inputted from fan reactions across the internet. As a result, each season’s heroine incorporates increasingly exponential factors of moe to the point where eventually we’ll reach some sort of moe-pocalyptic singularity; one that will consume us all in a devastating wave of D’AWWW.
I give it about another five years or so for the data to compile to sufficient amounts.
That’s it for now! Gimme some time, though, I’ve got other series that bear some checking out on my radar.
Ok, going to go for a potentially embarrassing one here: #29 - "If I've ever cried over an anime." Let's hear about those feels ;)
This is an easy one, and one I'm utterly unashamed to admit: The 2006 remake of Kanon.
I held it in like a trooper for ten full episodes...until the wedding scene in the field, and then the waterworks started.
That's no understatement, either. I bawled like a baby. Full-on sobs and snot bubbles. It was most unbecoming, but I don't even care. It was beautiful and sweet and terribly, terribly sad, and that's just the right combination to get me curled up on on the floor, weeping uncontrollably.
To this day, I am convinced that no one in their right mind can blame me for this. If they do, they either have no soul, or just plain hate nice things.
Or both.
