His Warmth
He wanted to get home fast
After a long time of being away from home, he just wanted to go home so bad. To fall into his wife’s warmth and care. On her lovely hugs and kissed that he dearly missed so bad.
Hinata had just moved in for almost two weeks when he was given this mission. He was itching to deny Kakashi’s request because it was his own call as his sensei stated.
As he was about to say no back then, Hinata pushed him to do the mission saying that she shouldn’t be a burden on his ninja career and said she’d be fine all throughout his mission in his apartment.
After much debate, he eventually leaned on going for this month long mission.
Now here he was a month overdue.
It was just that the mission he was assigned to do was more worse than he thought and thus requiring him to stay atleast another month.
He didn’t really mind the extra time but he was worried for his new wife. This mission didn’t give them the privilege of communication to each other and thus his one month extension would have left her worried. Their state of being newlyweds meant that each other’s love was still fresh.
He knew he was near as he saw the gates of Konoha from afar.
“I have to be faster” he said to himself. He could only give Hinata a couple less minutes to wait for his arrival.
Running past the village guards, he sprinted towards their apartment.
Approaching their home, he entered their home and silently went towards the bathroom. He needed to greet Hinata with a fresh appearance rather than his grimy and dirty scent.
Finishing up his bath, he changed into his pajamas that were hung inside the bathroom. He knew who put them there.
“Haaa Hinata, Im so sorry for taking so long” he said in his thoughts as he walked towards their bedroom.
Entering their bedroom, he was in awe on what was layed out before him.
Hinata wearing his spare worn jacket, lying on his side of the bed with his pillow next to her. Her face was marked with lack of sleep and pale demeanor, he assumed from his absence.
He went on and joined her in their bed and not even a moment to waste. She turned around and snuggle towards him.
“Naruto-kun what took you so long” she said in a shaky voice.
“Let me tell you tomorrow. Let’s just sleep, I’ve let you wait long enough for me and I’m sorry.” He replied.
Harmonizing their decisions, they just slept and cuddled together, letting the worries of tomorrow be diminished by each other’s warmth.
A/N: Titles suck.
Stars
Stars are meant to light up the night sky. To give contrast to the moon’s serene light. To give ambiance to the night sky. Without these stars, the dark skies of the night would feel less comforting and would light up the sky less. Sometimes we gaze at these stars, we gaze at them to give us direction, sometimes we gaze at them to worship, sometimes we gaze at them to make a wish, sometimes we gaze upon them to predict our possible future, and sometimes we gaze at them to witness their beauty and their individuality.
But to Naruto, he wouldn’t dare to look up in the night sky.
He wouldn’t dare look away from his beautiful wife. He wouldn’t dare look away at a woman that mirrored the night sky at this moment. He wouldn’t dare look away from her afterglow that resulted from their love. He wouldn’t dare look away at her porcelain skin that was tattered with his own type of stars.
Stars often symbolize a person’s dream. Stars also symbolize a person’s hope. Stars symbolize fortune and beauty. Stars symbolize a person’s own little light within all the darkness. Stars sometimes even symbolized love in some cases. Stars are what made him alive and his wife mirrored every meaning of a star to him
She was one of his dreams, his fortune, his beauty, and most of all his own little light within the darkness. She made him feel alive and breathing, not some ninja hero or a beast. She viewed him as a person, a person with flaws and indifferences, and yet at the same time she loved him as a person with flaws and indifferences.
It was a redundant term or rather a nonsensical statement to say “ a star with little stars”
But he wasn’t just any other man, He made these stars all over her body, to enact the meaning of stars.
Each mark symbolized all the meanings of stars, marks all over her body that seemed to connect. Each mark he made had a meaning of fortune and beauty etched upon her. Each mark he made also had the little light she provided and all the love he reciprocated on her skin.
People would think that these red hot marks that looked like red super giants. But to him she looked like a galaxy.
And he wouldn’t dare stop his stargazing upon her. The care she gave him, the way she shared with him and her love she gave him. Made her a galaxy with her as the biggest star and her marks on her skin were like stars and constellations.
All the love she provided that outweighed the stars made stargazing seem pointless, why would he look away when all he wanted to live for was right in front of him. She was a bright star and he was grateful she was shining on him, by him and for him.
The End.
A/N” Didn’t get to write the DIY prompt cus I have 0 idea on house stuff but maybe I’ll mash it with the nursery prompt? Just let my mind type it all without rechecking. Love y’all for the notes and reblogs!!! Keep the Naruhina Month alive! WOOH!
Swings
It was a quiet spring afternoon in the village of the Hidden Leaves. The cherry blossoms have sprung its leaves, some fell from its branches caused by the gentle spring breeze that swept upon the trees. The academy playgrounds were silent and somewhat peaceful. It was like nature was set to bring peace on the academy grounds today.
Amongst the playgrounds were Uzumaki Naruto and Hyuuga Hinata, having finished their picnic lunch, were now seated on Naruto’s childhood swing. Surprisingly, the swing held tight on carrying Naruto and Hinata. Hinata sat on Naruto’s lap while they swung slowly, going with the wind flow, enjoying this peaceful moment together.
Naruto was used to be alone in this exact swing when he was a child. He remembered sitting here when he felt sad and lonely, which was more often than not. He also remembered sitting here, receiving looks of hate and pity. At that time, he did not know why he received those eyes full of judgment.
He didn’t like the memories he had on this swing. This was the swing that carried him back then when he himself was collapsing.
He rode his swing alone for the majority of his childhood days. He rode his swing while enduring all the spiteful murmurs he heard about him. He felt alone and unloved. He was ostracized from his own village of something he didn’t ask for.
He remembered the approaching days of his genin rank. He was told why he swung alone in his swing. He swung alone with a beast inside of him. Only his sensei dared to swing with him. His sensei was the 2nd to swing with him. He was always thankful for his sensei for stepping up for him and saving him from his dark descent. Back then he didn’t know that someone swung like him and swung from a distance, sharing the same kind of swing.
Only when he attained the rank of genin that he swung with more people. His Kakashi-sensei and his teammates: Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke. He shared the same kind swing with Sasuke with almost no difference. Sakura swung by him as a teammate and a friend.
At first it was only a few people that swung with him, but as time passed and missions done. His swing mates were also affected. Some people were added as his swing mates, some of his swing mates got a stronger bond with him, and he also discovered a person that also had a beast in him.
During the chuunin exams, he gained more swing mates. Almost all of his swing mates paces’ changed for the better, except Sasuke, which slowed down his pace. It was then he also noticed the girl that shared a similar swing with him, but not yet discovering she had been swinging alone with him from the distance.
By then Sasuke left his swing to join the clutches of Orochimaru. He and his teammate Sakura tried their best to help him go back to his rightful swing. But alas even with the combined effort of the Konoha 11, they were unable to get Sasuke back.
After the situation with Sasuke, he got closer with his batchmates, the Konoha 11, he got closer with the other senseis, he also met his mentor and was one of his closest swing mates, and still Hinata was there swinging at his pace, sharing the same pace of never going back on one’s word.
Then a day came when his mentor left his own swing, one of his closest swing mates. Grieving from his death, he decided to defeat the one who threatened the swings of his friends. The killer of his mentor, Pain.
Almost at his swing’s end, his life was saved by one of his closest swing mates, the girl who shared his pace, the girl that supported him ever since. She was almost lost in the process but she saved him and he was always thankful that she was alive. Not knowing his own feelings back then, he treasured this girl deeply.
Defeating the culprit of his mentor’s death, an even bigger threat rose amongst all of the chaos. This threat required all the elemental villages’ cooperation. All the shinobis from these villages, swung together with him in order to defeat this worldly threat. After the battle, some of his swing mates were lost especially Hyuuga Neji, one of his closest swing mates, coming along with thousands of shinobis that lost their lives for the cost of a new era of peace.
During these peaceful times, the girl that shared his pace and his swing, was almost taken away from him. Finally realizing her importance on his life, he went on to save her and take her to swing with him forever.
And now at this moment, she was now and still is sharing her swing with him and at the same time he shared her swing with her, bound by their love for each other.
This was the moment that he wanted to share their single swing. Forever.
He got off from the swing they were sitting on and dropped down on his knees. Asking her to share their swing forever, whenever good or bad times dawned upon them in the future, he promised to be with her.
She accepted his pleads and upon hearing her acceptance, he got up and sealed the deal with a deep kiss, filled with sweet love and a beautiful ring on her finger.
And finally, at this moment. He didn’t swing alone anymore. He had this beautiful woman to accompany her on their swing forever, through sickness and health, through richer times and poorer times and through life and death. Forever.
The End
A/N: Thank you for all the support and the naruhina month staff for reblogging my works! Thanks for the notes and hearts given upon me haha. I’m going to skip tomorrow prompt since I’m not a star wars fan nor I have any idea on the star wars universe. See you on day 16! Bye!
Work Flirts
Job Au!!!!
It was almost two months since Naruto came in to take the vacant job slot in the Hidden Leaf Bar. He was assigned to me as a supervisor if you could call it, I was assigned to help him acquaint towards our workplace by our manager. After all I have been working here for almost 2 years so being assigned as his supervisor wasn’t a surprising thing to me. Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki was a hard worker, and is a guy you could count on on causing fun within our workplace. He loves to crack jokes and specifically tease me about his refined looks and his pleasing personality.
Well he was right and I wasn’t doing a good job hiding it either. Whenever he would call me ‘dear’ or ‘princess’ I would always flash my signature flustered cheeks to him and immediately hide my face in my bangs and in return he’d let me hear his signature laugh, not out of his entertainment but out of his genuine friendliness towards me. That didn’t add the fact that I’m falling more and more for him. At first I thought he looked really cute with those magnificent locks of blonde hair that dawned him, and those blue eyes that could kill me if it were to stare at me. Accompanied by his pleasing personality? I’d say he was right all throughout.
The situation last week didn’t help at all and I felt more flustered around him ever since that day.
Flashback~~
Today was a rather busy day for the Hidden Leaf Bar. It was a Friday after all and Friday means the dawn of the weekend which brought a lot of customers for us. Company workers, students, or plain regular people would always flood the place during this day. I wouldn’t mind the wholesome customers our bar entertained but if they were to keep the place clean, It would be easier for us workers. He approached me asking for the place where fresh uniforms were located. I was about to question him why when I saw his vest stained with the smell of beer. I decided to accompany him so that I could also get a new set of towels to clean tables with.
Reaching our destination he thanked me by saying “Thank you for leading me Hinata-senpaaaai.” I immediately felt weirded out by his remark but I just release a soft giggle to acknowledge him. “Now now Naruto. Hurry up and change. We have to get back at work soon.” I sternly say as I move towards the back room. I didn’t find it annoying with all his antics infact I find it funny and it keeps the stress away and all. After getting a new batch of towels, I head towards the front room to accompany Naruto back.
Arriving at the front room, I almost trip over his shoe because of the tower of towels that obscured my vision. I expected to hit the cold floor below but I was stopped. I was stopped by a warm hug from behind. Not even getting the chance to looking at the arms that held my hips, I was turned around to face my savior.
To say I wasn’t astonished by the view my eyes were giving me. Those strong muscular arms that held me, to his shoulder blades that looked like would pierce. His toned abs and chest. I would have fainted then and there, If Naruto didn’t ask if I was okay. I could only stare at his body that was right in front of me, not even replying to him.
“Ooooooh, I see you Hina-hime? Like the view?” he asked me. Realizing that I drooled over his chiseled abs and his strong arms, I immediately push him away, desperately trying to hide my reddish cheeks. “N-n-nnn-now now N-naruto!! WE- we should erm go b-back imm-edia—tely.” I tried to say. “Hahaha. Not to worry hime. You can go ahead and erm work I guess?” he said with a tinge bit of stutter in his statement.
Present Time~~
Ahhhh finally break time. Today’s customers weren’t that many but they were demanding. “Hello there Hinaaaa-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan” Oh here he goes. I feel like passing out after hearing his voice. “O-oi! Can’t even take a break Naruto-kun?” I reply. “Ah I guess you’re right Hinata.” He says.
He joins me on the floor, while I try to take a nap to let me body rest. “Hey Hinata.” He says, catching my attention.
“Y-yeah Naruto-kun?” I reply, while trying to mask how hard my heart is beating right now.
“How. How can you stand me?” he asks with a gentle tone.
“I mean people say I’m too loud or too energetic and stuff. I doesn’t really affect me that much but, the thought that you can stand my loud and energetic me. I’m curious. “ he adds looking at me with quivering determination.
“I actually think you’re funny and silly. But in a friendly type of way and maybe some people don’t like that but I do” I said while trying to fight the urge to run away from those tantalizing eyes.
“Oooooooooooh Hi-na-ta-chan.” He says as he reaches out for me.
I try to run away from his grasp before we get interrupted by our manager to get back to work. Standing up from the scuffle. I try to set out an order saying “Now Naruto-kun let’s save flirting after work now.”
“Oooooooh is it a date then Hinataaaaaa? It’s a yes then!!! Let me take you to that ramen shop down town after work yeah? Sounds great!! Talk to you later.” He immediately replies as he sprints to work.
“Its so him to shake things up” I say. I can’t wait on how our relationship turns out.
A/n: This might feel rushed and yes it is rushed. Also tried to write from a pov of a person and didn't work out well.I have report to finish and high school life just sucks. Hope you enjoyed this one! Thanks for the support still!!
A Simple Haircut
I may slow down on stuff cus lotsa school works and all but maybe I could manage? Who knows haha. I manage writing this on school days so why not juggle them both? Anyways. THANK YOU THANK YOU ALL. You’re hearts and tags are all appreciated! Now let’s get down to business! to defeat the huns!
Summary : A haircut has multiple meanings. Some simple. Some complex. Some lead people to each other for instances like these two people.
A haircut isn’t simply just trimming or cutting one’s hair. A haircut could mean a lot of things. A haircut could mean that a person has aims to become more attractive. A haircut could mean a requirement for schools. A haircut could mean a total change of pace for the person. A haircut could symbolize a person’s confidence or any other emotion they may want to convey.
Naruto wanted to hear the backstories of haircuts. He wanted to know why such a simple change could mean a complicated meaning for a certain person. When he was a child, he too had the experience of having a deeper action more than just a haircut. The haircut he received from the young man years ago, now his adoptive father, brought him out of the streets and into a life full of love and meaning. Naruto wanted to help people find their ways through the art of coiffure.
But today wasn’t looking like one of those days. Business has been slow this month and although at times Naruto wouldn’t mind having a slow day once and a while. But this slow? A barbershop needed customers to be functional and he wasn’t having any of it. The last customer he took care of was almost 2 days ago. “Haaaa” he whined. “I really need Sasuke’s partnership do I?” he said to himself. His bestfriend Sasuke wanted to help his business by having him promote Uchiha Haircare products but he wasn’t having any of it. He’s relied too much on Sasuke throughout his life, this would be eating the carrot way too much in his eyes.
Naruto continued his search for new ways to innovate his shop’s popularity. “Should I change the shop theme or something? Or maybe a-“ he said to himself before getting his deep thought dragged away from him. It seems that the regular bell that rang was the culprit. “That means a customer!” he excitedly said to himself mentally. Gaining his composure he put up a business face, ready to serve this godsend customer. “Welcome my lady! What shall we have for you today?” he greeted with enthusiasm. Taking in the features of the lady in front of him, she had long indigo hair that flowed all the way down to her lower back. Her eyes however were the ones that captured him, those pale lavender eyes that allured him. “A-a haircut please” the lady softly responded as if put on her own will infact. He had to ask her about that when he had the chance too but right now he had to get to work. Heading off to grab his tools he ordered her to sit down on the lounge seats the barbershop provided.
“Chose over the panels on the mirror so we can start doing your hair my lady.” He asked with tools in hand, ready to perform the haircut. “I erm want that one” she said as she pointed out the panel that had the bob cut picture on it. “Oooh such an interesting choice my lady! But are you sure you want to trim that beautiful long hair of yours?” he replied. Growing hair that could take months or even years, and only for it to be reduced to a bob cut? He had to know the reasoning, he didn’t want this lady to be regretful of her decision to cut her hair. One lady back then had her long hair cut so that she could take care of her child easier, only for it to be backfired by the crying the child released from seeing his mother’s short hair. Another part of him didn’t want those precious locks that mirrored the color of the night sky be cut.
Hearing his response, she put out a contemplating face clearly signs of doubt and fear of the unknown. He thought that he could tell her what a haircut meant to him and maybe reassure her of her decision. “My lady may I give a bit of advice? Looking at your demeanor you may be unsure of that bob cut of yours.” He said. She gave him a look that meant that he got her attention. “You see a haircut for me is a guide for a person to be better. For my instance, before all of this barber shop business, I was an orphan, wandering the streets and awaiting whatever comes to me.” He said. “But then this young man who approached me and saw how my long hair was giving me all sorts of troubles. He offered me my first haircut and from then on out he eventually adopted me as his own son. Long story short because of a haircut, I was given a loving home and a reason to be here.” He said while giving her a look of reassurance. “And that reason is?” the lady asked. “The reason to help people like you. I think its high time I owe this craft for giving me all that I have.” He replied. It was true, if he had rejected that young man’s offer to cut his hair, he may be one of the yakuza’s or maybe even dead. Looking at the lady’s reaction, she had this adoring look that looked like she was watching him through the mirror like he was some sort of bearer of hope or something.
“Now my lady! I ask you once again, why do this sudden change?” he asked once again. “Y-you see my mom died last month and ever since things have gone awry for me. My boss wanted me to pick up the pace or else I could get fired next week. The reason I wanted to have this haircut is that, everytime I look at the mirror, this long hair of mine reminds me of how my mother loved taking care of me and my sister’s hair. It felt as if I would cut this down. It kinda feels like I’m killing her last memory for me.” She said with a sad tone
“Ahhh. I see then my lady.” Now he got the reason, now he could access her and lead her to the right path of things. “Wouldn’t your mom get sad? Seeing you all sad like this, maybe you want to cut your hair so that you can leave the past behind so that you could keep moving forward perhaps? I’d say go for it my lady.” He said reassuring her more by patting her shoulders. “He’s right! It isn’t killing my mom’s memory, its more like for her, I should keep moving forward.” She said to herself.
After her self-reassurance, she eventually let him cut her hair. Seeing that peaceful look in her face, made it look all the right things for him. From that look he could sense that she could feel all the things that happened ever since her mom died were now falling down with her hair from all his cutting. His snips of her hair felt like he was unhooking all the negative vibes from her and making her feel happy. This. This is why he wanted this job, to have the power to influence people for the good.
After the services, he made her look into the mirror. She looked stronger and more confident in this look he thought to himself. It was a waste that he may never see this customer ever again. “Thank you Mr?” she asked. “O-oh my name is Naruto Uzumaki maam!” he replied rather quickly, too quickly that a sudden blush flooded his cheeks. “My name’s Hinata Hyuuga. You can call me Hinata. Mind if I become friends with you? You’re kind person I want to become friends with.” Hinata asked. “O-of course ma- Hinata.” He said as they shared a handshake and exchanged numbers to seal their friendship. Not knowing that something more would evolve from their friendship. All because of a simple haircut.
Honeymoon
Decided to keep this short for simplicity. Hehe (you’ll see later) Thanks for the support that keeps me writing for this fandom. Anyways onto the fic in hand.
Prompt: Honeymoon Naruhina Day 10
A honeymoon is a traditional holiday taken by newlyweds to celebrate in intimacy and seclusion. A couple could go to prestigious resorts all over the country to enjoy the isolated feeling from the bustling cities they came from. Some couples would go to cities to explore the vast buildings and museums within the city. Some couples would even go hiking or go to the ocean. Just really that requires them to explore.
You’d think that the Hero of the 4th Ninja War and the Hyuuga Princess that hailed from the Hidden Leaf would explore the steep mountains of the Hidden Stone or visit the famous hotsprings that the Hidden Mist boasted about. Their wedding was also expected to be witnessed by the whole village. Two of the strongest heroes In the war decide to get married, Its not everyday a powerful couple would get married. Their wedding was expected to have a huge audience of influential people from all over the world. You’d expect daimyos from every land and the kages from every village to come witness the wedding of the war hero.
But the couple decided to keep it simple. The attendance of important people like their friends, their families, and their teachers were the only ones to witness the simple wedding. Their wedding was simple, not much flowers than the expected field the people assumed, food enough for the visitors that was expected to be a grand, fancy buffet. Even though it was simple, there was no denying that what the couple felt on their wedding was beyond simple.
One would think that a simple wedding would have to be followed up by grand honeymoon that made up of multiple trips all over the world, exploring every nature and wonder of the world. Instead decided to reside on a simple inn on the Land of Fire. The inn was isolated from the bustling village the land had. The inn had a simple hotspring that was offered to the customers that would nestle in the said inn. Surely the couple had to at least try out the hotsprings. The inn wasn’t really packed with people so they had privilege of having the inn and its hotsprings to themselves.
Amongst the blankets inside a room, there lie the sweet couple having their honeymoon. Naruto and Hinata were still resting from their intense love making from last night. The love for each other had been poured out freely knowing that they had a private moment with each other. To add the fact that they had been pure before last night was an even better experience.
Looking at his arms, was the love of his life, his now wife, now named Uzumaki Hinata. Just the thought of seeing his sleepy wife made him laugh. Shaked off from his sudden laugh, Hinata opened her eyes. Naruto stopped laughing and immediately got lost in her eyes. Hinata with those curious eyes looking at him. Made him laugh louder even more.
“What’s wrong Naruto-kun” Hinata asked. “It’s just that, I can’t believe I have a beautiful wife.” Naruto replied. “E-eh?” Hinata piped out with a blush on cheeks. Naruto still couldn’t believe that she was his and he was hers. After all these years, Hinata was still the shy and gentle girl he had learned to appreciate and love her strength and confidence.
“A-anyways should we head towards the hotsprings? This is our honeymoon and all” Hinata asked. “Nah I’d rather stay in bed longer.” Naruto replied. With his response she smiled and snuggled closer to him. He knew that she too wanted to stay in bed longer.
Well the couple would eventually waste the whole day, hand in hand, body to body on their bed, they knew they should have done something today but staying in bed the whole day was a day they’d want to waste if it meant staying together on each others arms.
The End
Chances
This fic took way too long to be writen. I might have to skip tomorrow’s prompt but hey who knows.
Day 8 :Karaoke
Setting: Modern
It was the 23rd time this month that the same girl who had indigo locks of hair and had those unique but pretty lavender eyes came to rent out a karaoke room with the same dishes she ordered the first time since she went at the karaoke bar.
Flashback
Naruto Uzumaki was a part-time employee on a local karaoke bar near his apartment. He hated his job especially when he was assigned as a waiter to serve the customers. The customers were rude and did not part in showing him respect like a simple thank you or a welcome. Not wanting to be such a big burden to his adoptive father so he that he could help in earning funds to keep him at college. This job wasn’t the best in his interests but it was the best at the money aspect so he had to push through.
It was the same thing over and over again. Serve a room, bring the food, and ask for the payment. No customers were particularly interesting for him. It would be either co-workers having a day off or hanging out after their jobs, stereotypical teenagers that hanged out, or singles having a mixer. There was an occasional couple every now and then but that was it.
Then one day at work he was assigned to serve on a booth that wasn’t an everyday sight to him. The rooms were usually filled with atleast 4 people minimum but his assigned booth contained a single person. He didn’t have anything against having to serve a single customer, he actually loved it because it was hassle free.
