The Rat King is a collection of rats whose tails are all intertwined together with hair or bits of sticky substances. There is no definitive answer as to why this phenomenon occurs but sightings of the rat king trace back to the 1500′s in Germany.

Scary Dream Phenomenon

i have very strange dreams. it is not so much the things that happen in them, but how i react while i'm dreaming. what happens in my dreams sometimes feels real. for example, i'll be falling and while most people will wake before they hit the ground, i hit the ground and feel myself hit and while i'm sleeping my body will jerk as if i have actually hit the ground. i have been shot in a dream and moved hard and suddenly. i have hit my head in a dream and woke and felt my head hurting. i have also had a few dreams where people are touching me and i will actually feel like there are fingers on my body, digging in my skin. the worse dreams i have had are ones where i'm laying in bed and can't move and it feels like i'm paralyzed. it is scary so i try to call for help but i cannot make a sound and i can't move at all. not sure if that is actually a dream though. another strange thing is that in a dream i spit at someone and i actually spitted while asleep like i would at someone and woke up from that. if i'm having a dream where there are a lot of emoitons going on depending on what emotion it is i will wake up crying, scared and almost shaking, and angry. my dreams can get very realistic and because of this they can be so scary. i've have tired while dreaming to get myself to roll off my bed so i will wake up and stop dreaming, i have told myself to open my eyes or pull by eyelids up, i also try to call for my mom. when i call for her it is never loud enough for her to hear it if i can open my mouth to utter something because usually i'm calling for her in my head and i never seem to be able to physically say anything. when i am able to say something physically, me calling for her wakes me up and so my dream is over. i'm glad dreams like those mentioned do not happen often and they are usually weird, nonsense things. i have told some family members about this and i found out this all could be hereditary (if it can be) because my mom, uncle, and their mom have dreams like i have. if something like this is passed down through generations, it makes me fear for my children because dreams like these are so scary and i would not want them to experience any of them.
