Hey guys. Are we like?? Are we not gonna talk about the giant fucking statue in Darkage Cliffs????
Maps are non-canon, I know, but Darkage Cliffs is stated to be one of the only maps which represents and actual location in the Phighting universe, and it's not like they added this statue for NO REASON.
It doesn't appear to have much going on, but there's actually a few interesting things here.
First of all, we're again seeing this style of clothing, so the way Shuri and Vine and Katana dress is likely traditional to Thieves' Den.
Second of all, SPAWN SYMBOL SPAWN SYMBOL EVERYONE WRITE THAT DOWN. May be unimportant but IT COULD MEAN SOMETHING!
The craziest thing is that the blade they're holding is a recognizable gear.
The handle has this very specific carving of a dragon that could only really be ONE THING.....
It's the dual katanas of the Darkage Clan !!!!!
As you can see, the blade sort of. Sticks out from a dragon head, just like on the statue
Now! You may be thinking! Hey wait a minute. DUAL katanas???? WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE?!
The answer is. I don't know, WHY DOES THIS PERSON ONLY HAVE ONE KATANA SERIOUSLY.
I do have. Some theories, okay.
Theory #1 - Two Katanas take too much clay to carve
Theory #2 - It's a reference to this ?????????????????????
Theory #3 - The dual katanas bore TWO inphernals, one who wielded each, and the other holder is not depicted for some reason ( I LIKE THIS OPTION!!!!!!!!)
