Yesterday, I saw the love of my life cry. Not because I hurt him, or not because he hurt me but because we know the love we have for each other is real. The past five years of my life has been captivated by someone I fell in love with at first sight. I didn’t believe that it could happen but yet it did. And somehow through it all, the love still remains the same. He begins his new journey of his professional life in a new city, new state, and even more miles away from me. How I feel, I want to be selfish and just lie in bed with him forever and always and just block out the world. Family, friends, society, social media....ALL OF IT. Just so I can have him to myself. But if this is the truth and it hurts, I’ll be in pain for a little just to know that I honestly love this man. I know what I want in life but no one told me that I would be ready to just give it all up just to have him. I want nothing but the best in both of our lives but I think....no I KNOW he is the best in my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sure, I could open myself up to other people but why even take that chance....it’s him that I want to spend the rest of my life with.
