In Philadelphia alone, here are the changes being made:
-Police Commissioner Outlaw and Mayor Kenny announced they will address police use-of-force in Philadelphia (keep protesting until they actually implement new policies)
-Mayor Kenney announces he will form a steering committee to help the city “move toward reconciliation”. Keep an eye on this. (Keep protesting until changes are made).
-The City Council unveiled a $25 million “New Normal Budget Act” which will alter the spending priorities for the city budget to address racial inequalities in housing, food security, policing, and other issues. No concrete details on how they will use the money to accomplish this have been released yet, so keep your eye on that. (keep protesting, keep being loud. Make sure these policies actually address the issues)
