All of that together? My love for food and the places that serve it is big and I will jam brunch in my face anywhere you take me. But when it comes to my favorite place for brunch, it is, without question, Cafe Renata. I can roll out of bed and walk the few blocks there in sunshine or snow and be guaranteed that savory or sweet, whatever I'm craving, it will be there. I can drag with me carnivores and vegetarians, health conscious and the indulgent, people who want the warm and familiar and people who are looking for something a little different, and all of them will find something on this menu. I went to Renata's Kitchen back when it was Cafe Renata along Locust, and I was rooting for the owners when Cafe Renata burned down, forcing them to move. But then they moved even closer to my home, just along Baltimore Ave in West Philly, carrying with them the same warm, homestyle feeling with them. I can take anyone here - my parents, my friends, my baby and know we'll find something delicious.
