Realized I haven’t shown my cool radioactive collection of trinkets yet! So I’m gonna show them off in chronological order :)
First up we have these two uranium glass plates
I believe I got them for $6 usd, but I could be severely misremembering that, but it’s the first radioactive pieces I ever got!
Next up is my radium travel clock!
I got it for $18 usd and it was made by the Phinney Walker company, after some digging I determined it to indeed be radium, though if anyone has any other ideas on what it could be I’d be welcome to hear it!
EDIT: the travel clock turned out to not be radioactive, even though I saw the exact same type of clock being radium online, idk what’s up with that but yeah, sadly not radium
Next we have a less luminous piece, genuine orange fiestawear from the 1930s/40s
I got this guy for $10 usd while on vacation, I had to fly him back home on a plane! It was very anxiety inducing, but I’m glad I got him :) I would’ve scrubbed off the sticker but I don’t want to risk breaking him, so for now it stays :)
Then we have another piece of uranium glass! A sherbet cup (bowl?) (these so need to make a comeback imo)
I don’t remember how much I paid for this one but I’d be willing to bet around the $12 usd range
And finally, we have my favorite piece, a uranium glass measuring cup!
I got this one for $36 usd, I usually try to stay below $25 whenever I’m adding to my collection, but this piece was too unique to leave behind, I love how it glows under black light too!
