My chronically ill advice is to get yourself a phlebotomist who says "skill issue" when other people can't draw your blood.
I have deep veins that constrict when I'm anxious and roll easily. I also barely bleed.
This man walked in and went "If they blame your veins, it's because their ego can't take the hit" and proceeded to get it, first stick, and then draw 5 vials without blowing or collapsing my vein.
His vibes were chaotic as fuck and I'm asking for him by name every time from here on out.

the phlebotomy scene in the pitt was ridiculously inaccurate btw. not only was the student incredibly rough with the needle and jiggling it all over the place in the patient’s arm, but she drew a lavender top before the red top……. those samples were contaminated before she dropped it on the ground
Kingdon is getting content this season that’s so good it was mentioned in an article, EVERYONE at work is getting butterflies ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
I think its cool they talked about a Phlebotomy on the latest episode of The Pitt.
Although they didn't show it, its cool it was mentioned. I chuckled when they asked the brother to leave the room because "he won't like what he sees"
As someone who gets frequent phlebotomies due to my Hemochromatosis I guess I'm numb to how the procedure is and can understand why most people would be squeamish.
Work comic #2
Maybe that phlebotomist's true calling is acupuncture.
