@phobetorxmp
it’s been quite a rollercoaster of a time for him, what with the nightly imprisonment and then the little bout of fun he’d had with phobetor threatening lawsuits and whatnot. all of that had gone to the furthest back corner of his mind when he came across jennie in her weakened state and his hunt for the one responsible had started. somewhere in there, phobetor had shown up to apologise and he’d been surprised at first for sure, because he hadn’t thought apologising was something phobetor did, but he’d also accepted it straight away, because quite frankly; he didn’t enjoy not being able to go over and see the god when he felt like it. admittedly he hadn’t really had a lot of time to see anyone outside of his little investigation, but that only made it more wonderful to be able to just go over again and get whatever affection he needed.
but now, with jordan’s demise a fact and the aftermath of his decisions a thing that is outside of his own hands, he finally has the time and the possibility to go visit his friend properly again, and it’s almost the first thing he does. with his head still full of the swirling script of jordan’s journal and his mind full of so many other things that he doesn’t think he can even make sense of yet, he takes determined, certain strides towards the place where he knows his friend to be.
it’s not the first time he makes his way into a place where he wasn’t necessarily invited or expected, but it is perhaps the first time he does it with such a determined lack of care, wanting nothing more than to get to phobetor and to wrap himself up in his friend’s warmth and care again. so it’s without any sort of warning or explanation that he simply enters the room, glad to find phobetor alone behind his desk, and crosses the distance in another few strides, coming to a stop next to his friend and simply leaning down and wrapping his arms around phobetor’s frame, tucking his head against the broad shoulder and closing his eyes as he breathes in slowly, letting the peace of familiarity soothe the edges of his exhaustion.
“hi,” he says after what might just as well have been an entire minute. “i missed you.”
