Wedding Photography Expensive!!!!!

Why Is Wedding Photography So Expensive? 

So much goes into a wedding. We often don't realize how massive the expenses are until it's crunch time, or when it's time to book your services. I often find that people balk at photography prices when they are looking for a wedding photographer. When you understand the amount of work that goes into your wedding shoot, you will see the prices aren't bad at all! I'll explain in more detail below.

It's just one day, why does it cost so much?

When planning your wedding, you put a lot of effort into it. All your work comes to fruition on that one well planned out day. It doesn't differ much for photographers. The day you book with us is the day we start planning for our big day, the day we deliver your amazing wedding album. It goes something like this:

Initial Meeting -Where we map out the road to your big day. 

Additional Meetings - Throughout this process, as your photographer, I want to be in the know. So several times before your wedding, I like to catch up over coffee so we can discuss everything!

Depending on the package you choose, I may be shooting your rehearsal dinner, your engagement photos, etc.

The Big Day - Your wedding is everything you ever hoped it to one day be. It's my job to capture all of your meticulous planning on media for you. From the groomsmen dressing, to the bride walking down the aisle, I will tell the story of your wedding day.

Editing - I generally have one other photographer at the wedding. This means there will be a lot of photos to edit and go through. I'd say on average I spend 24-35 hours on editing alone.

Post Wedding Meeting - We finally get to see your photos! We can sit down and chat, look at the images, and decide what you want to do with them.

Camera Gear - Cameras, lights, batteries, bags, you get the picture.

Weddings can be expensive, plain and simple. A lot more goes into photography than is often conveyed. My job is to make sure that your images result in everything you ever imagined. At the same time, I have to price appropriately for my talent and my time. I love shooting weddings, and my passion and expertise will shine through your photos. Photography The Future

Photographs are becoming an increasingly prevalent part of our daily lives, and the future looks bright for this technology. With advancements in camera technology and smarter phones, taking photographs is easier and more accessible than ever before. We use photographs almost ubiquitously to capture memories, experiences and dreams, to tell stories, to connect us with each other, and to document events.

As technology advances, we are likely to see more and more impressive and innovative uses of photography. Augmented reality technology, such as those found in apps like Snapchat and Instagram, have changed the way we use images to communicate, connecting the physical world with digital media. Automated photo-editing apps such as those found on iPhones are making it easier than ever for users to quickly and easily enhance their photographs.

As technology continues to advance, we can expect to see more uses of photography to make our lives easier and more convenient. This could include facial recognition technology, to help us quickly identify people or even automate security processes. We might also find more sophisticated ways of using photography to record and analyze important data

Should I Hire a Professional Photographer to Document My Event?

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to hire someone to photograph your event, consider these reasons:

 Let’s say the event is a family reunion and you want to get a group photo of the whole family. You could do it yourself, but one of two things could happen then. A) You have someone take the photo for you, leaving a family member out of the photo because they had to take it. This could possibly offend that person or make them feel awkward for being excluded. Or B) You set a timer on your camera. This can be problematic because there are so many people in the photo that you will need to take several images to make sure everyone is looking and has their eyes open. You will have to take two to three times as long to get the photos done because you’ll have to keep resetting the timer, and you still might not have gotten the shot. Hiring a professional will eliminate all of this stress.

 I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to go around all night taking selfies with my phone or camera with all of my friends and family members. I would much prefer to relax and enjoy the moment instead of trying to capture it. The quality of the photos will be much better than the selfies. Also, trying to take a selfie with a group of people is next to impossible when trying to get everyone inside the frame.

 If the event is a birthday party, you don’t want to miss out on visiting with guests or helping your child open presents or cut the cake because you are too busy trying to take the photos. You want to be part of the action, not stuck behind the camera.

 Another great thing about hiring a professional is that you don’t have to worry about editing and distributing the photos after the event is over. You just have to wait to receive them from your photographer.

 Finally, it’s really a gift to have well lit photographs taking by a professional who preserve the memory of your event. Those images are going to be cherished by everyone for a very long time to come.
