phylacteryandechoes is playing with death.
Azrael jumped a bit, startled at the sudden appearance of the man. "I'm getting really tired of being caught of guard!" she shouted to no one in particular before she turned to the man. Az tilted her head, narrowing her eyes a bit. "Can I help you with something dude?" she asked, clearly in an off mood.
phylacteryandechoes - at least you know why you're in this predicament.
"If you're looking for your daughter, I believe she ran down the hall and to the left," he said, pointing down the long expanse of closed doors and locked rooms, save for one door that was open. "That would be the kitchens," he said pleasantly Not bad for a man who had tourists dashing through his home.
phylacteryandechoes has got to realize that this won't end well.
[ here, Frederick. She'll save you the time from your normal complaint of people bothering you while you're reading your paper, especially as she gathers her coffee, looks up at her guard, and moves to walk away. ]
phylacteryandechoes looks the part.
"Tell me you're here for the banquet," she said breathlessly, stepping before the man. "The charity dinner," she clarified for him. She's been looking for the last person to sit at the table, and while she normally doesn't mind if the events aren't sold out, charity events are things she takes pride in, and every plate that has someone sitting by it means more money to her father's charity.
Claimed
4. A slap to the face
A big smile spread across her face as she walked towards him. Without a single word leaving her lips her hand moved quickly slamming on his face with strength. “I am adorable.”
#-had to#Imagine what it would take for him to completely lose control like that
See, Coyote knows that she pushes Frederick's buttons, in all the wrong ways - but even she doesn't want to see Frederick get that angry.
#Coyote #I give up on all women I swear #you can't just come with your kisses and your laughter and your quick bites#and high delusional expectations#You tell me that I should do other things aside form work and I try but Chains don't move by wind#and I'm sick and tired of having women run my life and telling me what I should or shouldn't do#and pointing out every single flaw #I tried dammit#I tried the best I could to please but obviously I'm not good at that#and you just get mad instead of ease me through it#but then again why should you? #you don't give a flying fuck#and it's not about your work #and it's not even about your age any more#It's that I never even start to try for people and then #one day#to my utter astonishment and consecuantial problems #I do#but of course I am nothing but books and acounts and money and a title and some years#why shoould you even ask how I am? #this wasn't about me or you but about both#and if me #Mr. Insensitive can see that #then give a hard look at yourself#you are always so eager to see what people are doing wrong#that you don't even stop to ask why#stop thinking you know everything about everyone#and of thinking you are the eight wonder of the world#and stop thinking that just because you put yourself down because you can't read or write#everyone else will do the same
and she wonders how much he tried. How far out of his comfort zone did he try to move out of as she moved out of hers? Stepping into a life of wealth and privilege and doing things that she wouldn't normally do, and she knows that it's not her fault that he has never tried to step out of his work, because she is not the one that forces him to work int he first place. And she's seen him work through the night, and well into the day, and unable to stop thinking about work, so to her - work is all that he is, and if he'd ever thought to ask about anything instead of calling her Lady when she asks him not to - then he'd know why she looks for the wrong in people instead of trusting them and greeting them with open arms. And she's never said that she's anything spectacular, but if she's going to pay her dues, then she has to act like it - because she either acts confident and she gets who she needs, or she gets told who she'll be with. And she's going to put herself down, because it saves the rest of them the trouble. It's called growing up in the Raspsers.
