#throwbackthursday Parlor at the Hill-Keith-Physick House (@hillphysickhouse) built in 1786 in Philadelphia, #Pennsylvania by wealthy Madeira wine importer Henry Hill. It was the home of Philip Syng Physick (1768-1837), who has been called "the father of American surgery," from 1815 until his death in 1837. In the late 1960s, the house was restored and donated to the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks (@philalandmarks). Today, the home serves as a house museum. #pa #pahistory #SpreadTheHistory #historygirl #architecture #archi_oligie #oldhouselove #travelblog #travelblogger #blog #blogger #igerspa #explorepa #ushistory #americanhistory #societyhill #philly #igers_philly #visitphilly #physickhouse #physick #interiorthursdays #tbt (at Hill-Keith-Physick House)
