A Whole New World || Raguna & Oracle

[✿] — He had mainly gone to the Date Auction with the intention of donating to charity, figuring it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to spend time with someone for the day in return. 

Now finding a date or romantic partner was the farthest thing from Raguna’s mind, but he wouldn’t deny how nice it would be to have the company. Just a relaxing time away from his usual responsibilities, with a person who didn’t know anything about him, and hopefully held no expectations for him.

But when he goes to find the ‘Oracle’ whose date he purchased, he was surprised to see a small spirit instead. And even more surprised when the spirit told him to follow her, since she would be leading him to where the Oracle actually was.

After a strange trip on the ferry back to Arcadia, the farmer finds himself being led to the Fugue Forest, deep within its depths, until he finds himself in a small clearing with a cozy little cottage.

With an almost giddy air, the spirit urges him to approach the house, and after giving the creature what was probably his tenth confused look in that hour alone, Raguna takes a cautious step forward. Once he reaches the doorstep, he gives the door a hesitant knock. He had no idea who lived here, but hopefully they weren’t trouble.

But man, it was just his luck, wasn’t it? Of course it’s him who gets the strange ones.

Let Them Eat Cake

*ﾟ:*:✼ ❀ — If someone saw Laney walking around right now, they might think she’s going for a leisurely stroll through the forest with a picnic basket for lunch. While not entirely wrong, the real reason she was walking around with a basket full of food was because it was full of (or what’s left of it) her snacks that she had stored away for later consumption. 

Georgia had always been a bit of a healthier person which was admirable in many ways, but as for Laney, she had a little bit of a sweet tooth. Unfortunately, donuts, cakes, pies, and everything in between didn’t count as actual food. Even if they did have eggs in them... What a shame. 

The blonde also had a poor impulse control when it came to sweets, so much so that her best friend, Georgia had been trying to get her to exercise and eat healthier as of late. Trying being the key word. It was times like this where Laney just had to have that little snack (or a few) to satisfy her cravings, so she sneaked away from Georgia with a basket of food to munch on in her travels. All she needed was a good place to sit. 

The forest was a perfect place for hiding. It was expected of her to be in the bakery, so this, being the complete opposite of her cozy bakery building, was the perfect hiding spot. Plus a change of scenery was always nice, the forest was also nice and quiet, the only possible threat that would keep her away from her food were cute forest animals.

Laney had found a large rock to rest on and rested her picnic basket on her lap, her appetite growing by the second as she pulled out the contents of the basket, unaware that there was, in fact, someone else in the forest with her.
