Friends with equally busy schedules understood the difficultly that came with creating plans. Anything could happen. A scheduled meeting could go too long or an emergency call could pop up at any minute. It was hard to tell. But as a doctor for people and a doctor for animals, there was an understanding.
Today, however, seemed to work out. She was free, he was free, and as of that moment, she had no calls that required her to have to cancel and she had yet to hear from him about cancelling either. It might turn out to be a good day after all.
“Alex, over here!”
Agate waved over from the entrance of the park as soon as she saw the familiar face. The plan was to have lunch and catch up with an old friend, so she had made a small lunch for the two and neatly packed it away in the basket that hung off her elbow. It was a lot easier to carry without her dogs around trying every little trick to stick their noses inside.
“I hope your day has been well~”
