Now that Forte wasn’t running the police station alone, she occasionally allowed herself to take some time off. Normal people might take that time to relax, but Forte either spent her free time training, or running much needed errands. Now that her brother was home, she also took the time to find him little gifts while she was out.

It wasn’t a terrible day for a stroll either, and she wasn’t the only one out. The streets of Arcadia were moderately busy, as they usually were, and she made sure to say hello to almost everyone she crossed paths with. Not only to make sure everyone was safe, but she knew it bolstered the relationship the police had with the community to be friendly and present. Besides, her work was never really done since she was ready to jump into action if needed.

As she walked through town, she found herself stopping at a few of the shops windows. If anything caught her eye it would likely be for her brother, but most places that day she simply stopped and looked. Seemingly unaware of what might be going on around her.

It hasn’t been long since Gwen took over as Guild Master at Arcadia Explorer’s Guild. She hasn’t gotten used to it, but she’s not new to being a boss. First thing’s first was making going over the inventory of the guild and make sure they had a good stock. There was never a shortage of curious travelers and adventurers wanting to travel, and on the event that a rescue needed to happen, they needed to be ready.

Right now, Gwen signed a delivery for boxes full of equipment for the guild. She won’t be able to carry them on her own-- technically, she can, but it would take too much time-- so she calls for help. She spots one of the members of the guild and immediately called him over. 

“Rylan! Give me a hand over here.”

Gotta Go Fast || Dirk & Rylan

[ ✉ ] — Dirk whistles as he steps into the Wall Market, in search of Komari. He didn’t really know much about the place except that this was one of her jobs, and as he looks at all the peculiar items sitting on the shelves, he grows even more curious. The heck was this place, an antique shop?

He looks away from the merchandise and towards a guy near the back. Must be another employee. Just as Dirk opens his mouth to call out to him, in the hopes that he might know where Komari was, the mailman walks right into the stand that had been holding a vase on display. As a result, it begins to fall to the ground.

“Oh, crap---!” Panicking, Dirk throws his hand towards the vase. As he moves forward, time around him slows, and his own speed accelerates ever so slightly, allowing him to catch the vase just before it smashes into the ground. 

As he stares down at the still intact piece of pottery, he lets out a sigh of relief. Thank the Goddess for time magic.

He looks up to the employee in the back with a sheepish grin, knowing for sure he had gotten the man’s attention with that little incident. From that guy’s point of view, it probably looked as though Dirk had been moving at the speed of light there. “Heheh... crisis averted, huh?”
