I Breathe Music || AU

Natsu Dragneel was not the most famous of musicians. More on the indie scene, if you will. It wasn’t that he was bad, he just wasn’t signed with any type of company, really. It was just him and some friends traveling the country, releasing albums on the internet through any means they could, and gathering most of their money from tickets to their shows. They were not completely obselete, their concerts sold pretty well, they just weren’t super well known. As in, when they walked down the street, they didn’t have to constantly worry about paparazzi and all that bullshit. 

It was just him, Gray Fullbuster and Erza Scarlet. Natsu was usually the only one performing, Erza was the manager. Gray played the drums when it was needed though, and sometimes had his own solo performances, but he didn’t like performing as much. He was more of a producing and editing guy. 

He did a whole range of things. Sometimes he DJ’ed, sometimes he played the acoustic guitar. Sometimes he covered songs, sometimes he wrote his own. His fans seemed drawn to him because of his diversity, and how danceable his songs usually were, even the slower ones. 

Tonight they were performing in Chicago, at some random basement at some random bar. The whole room was packed though, and they usually had bigger venues, but tonight it was pretty chill.
