Al just hummed in reply and clasped both hands around her mug on the table. “Make sure you save me a slice before that motherfucker eats it all,” she said, tilting her head vaguely in the direction of the living area.
“I will,” Logan promised her and they lapsed into silence, enjoying their morning coffee.
