I did something probably not super advisable from a piercing standpoint for my healthcare. This past week I had to get an MRI (which was loud and boring) and for that you obviously have to remove any metal because… you’re sticking your head in a giant magnet. And just a few weeks ago I got my septum pierced. So it’s nowhere near ready for the jewelry to be changed. But I was NOT risking it closing up on me because who has $50 to just throw away??? Not me. So I got an acrylic retainer for it and switched it out. I’ve tried switching them back a few times after the MRI but I just finally got the original back in!! Mini- semi disability related- win. Now everyone cross your fingers for me to not get an infection- I will be doing what I can to prevent it but also well wishes never hurt I think.

So I got my industrial piercing and wasn’t too bad the pain was throbbing after but pain meds are making that nonexistent but haven’t taken more than once today and I’m just like yeah not too bad unless I knock it… I realize later that I’ve got like a trail of blood down my ear lol and it’s just flowing, just hoping that by staying on my opposite side the blood and clotting will be consolidated

omg!! i heard industrials are tough 🌟 i am sure it looks super cute and hopefully will clot and chill lol my dumb ass would roll over on it and every five seconds in my sleep and i would most def NOT be having a good time. happy healing friend!!!

on the topic of piercing talk,, I've got my tongue pierced too (least painful piercing ever!! 10/10 would do it again lol) and today while eating somehow the ball that is used to close the jewelry came off and I somehow didn't noticed until finishing the meal and the ball being gone 😭😂 idk how this happened but luckily I had an extra piece of jewelry and didn't have to take it out and worry about it closing lol any embarrassing piercing stories/accidents to share as well? 🥴😉

my tongue piercing was a freaking breeeeeze - i was scared shitless to change it the first time tho - LISTEN I DO HAVE A STORY.

we went out of state to visit family and when we were packing my husband was like yo pack an extra tongue ring and i was like uhhh why.........DUDE first night we're there i'm sitting on the couch doing NOTHING and like close my teeth on something crunchy and i like dabbed it off the tip of my tongue and it was blue.......the WHOLE top ball like??? disintegrated??? (plastic balls!) and thank the lort i listened to my husband and packed extra bc i was in a cabin in the middle of nowhere and I would have cried if it had closed up.

both the vertical labret and eyebrow piercing have pretty fast healing times. they’re also pretty easy piercings to get in terms of pain ( pain is pretty subjective tho, that’s just what i’ve heard from videos i’ve watched) one thing about the vertical labret tho is that it can leave a pretty noticeable scar ( lip piercings in general are known for leaving noticeable scars. that’s what’s stopping me from getting a medusa)

that's what i've heard too! i have my tongue pierced so i'm not too worried about pain (tbh my nostril hurt worse) i am a weenie but i am also good at convincing myself pain is temporary lol i was a little concerned with scarring should I take the eyebrow piercing out too but i suppose scarring is a risk with any facial piercing and something you have to be OK with before making the decision T-T
