Context: When MC entered the snowy forest, they ran into familiar villagers who decided to finish them off as soon as they saw them. Pierrot went after MC to bring them back, and upon witnessing this scene, decided to put a stop to it in his own way.

Question:

How long have you done voice acting comic dubs and are there any tips you would give to those like me who aspire to be someone like you in the future?

(Also, I love your interpretation of Pierrot, he sounds so baby and I wanna *squish*)

Hello! Apologies for how in depth this might be:

In general, I've been acting/voice acting for almost 11 years! I didn't really start doing more comic dubs until a few years into my journey, hyperfocused on auditioning for projects left and right; I still do, don't get me wrong. Initially I did a handful of hazbin comic dubs, but I was struggling to make time to do the line dubbing, the editing, sound effects search, etc. especially because I wasn't living by myself and there was that anxiety performing in front of people in a recording process. There was a big hiatus in between comic dubs until I found TFC last October and started dubbing those scenes, then I got my own place in December and I became more open and able to do comic dubs.

As far as tips: pursuing acting as a whole means there will be a LOT of rejection, and I mean A LOT, and that's okay! I've lost count as to how many projects I've been rejected from. The important thing is to learn, accept, and take the loss with a grain of salt, try your best not to be discouraged. There are so many jobs, so many people, so many opportunities; you can't win em all, but there's always something for you!

Make connections! We're a social species. You're in fandoms and you like these comics or these scenes? See if someone wants to join you in dubbing! Collaboration works wonders. It’s definitely important to practice your craft. Sign up for classes! These will for sure help you get a sense of the business and how to enhance your performances; I know they’re incredibly expensive, find SOMETHING that you can do without breaking the bank.
