I was wondering if you do speedpaint videos or progress gifs? Also do you stream? and could you recommend some artists or resources to a beginner trying to study anatomy and coloring? sorry for so many questions !!!'_
1) sometimes I make process gifsI think this was the last one I madeI always mean to make more, but merge everything down before saving layers whoops
2) I used to, but I have a very short attention span and the amount of breaks I take in between every three or four lines would likely drive anyone watching crazy. Plus stage fright.
3) I’m still working on those myself, but what I can recommend is life drawing if you have the resources for it,also drawing people in public, which help a lot with more natural poses. If you don’t, sites like this are good (there’s another, more popular one, but I can’t find it right now)gesture drawings to get to the crux of the overall pose instead of getting caught up in the details is a super valuable exercise, too
4) As for colour, there’s your basics like the colour wheel and complementary colours, etc and typically lights are warm, darks are cool, etcetcetc which are always good to keep in mind.I also like looking at movies and how certain colour palettes might be used to convey a specific mood (eg: suspiria, 1977, uses saturated, vibrant colours to give a more storybook mood, whereas the 2018 suspiria uses a more desaturated, grey-tone to keep the mood more grounded.)It’s very trial and error based after a certain point, as it heavily depends on what your personal tastes are, and for that I would recommend sorting through an abundance of references (photos, paintings, irl, anything) with colour palettes you find appealing, and assessing why you find them appealing(eg: personally, I like more monochromatic and limited colour palettes for the same storybook feeling, split complementary colour, and shades as opposed to tints or pure colour.)I HOPE THAT HELPS SOME
