night five. we lit the bottom one first, with my parents, then the other two at home. I'm always a little ashamed that they don't have a prettier setting in the pictures. It was really nice, though, to just sit with Partner & watch them burn down, the way we always did in previous years when it was just us.
happy second night!! I have now run completely out of oil.
fourth night fourth night! also my mom made zucchini and ravioli in tomato sauce, which was very good & filling.
last night. had a good evening with my parents, & found out that the Mystery Gift of Books came from my sister. ate more latkes. spun more svivonim. ate more gelt.

my parents were with us for chanuka for the first time in many years. it was really nice; I'd missed my mother's latkes.
