How to update crit mods yourself

Few days ago i read in @mods-of-tera tumblr that someone wanted to know if this tumblr updated crit mods and ofc they said they didnt so I thought i could make a guide for help those ppl ^^

(The patched file will save in the folder that the original file is located so you can just make a new folder in your desktop for do all this work.)

What we need:

1- Photoshop or GIMP (both with dds plugin) or any other one that allows you to save dds files. (Thats optional,in case you wanna edit the mod you wanna update)

2- UTHelper (found in here)

3-The crit mod you wanna update(File or dds)

4- A fresh copy of the TexturedFont.gpk found in TERA\Client\S1Game\CookedPC\Art_Data\Packages\Shaders

How do we update a crit mod ourselves?

1º - Navigate to your Tera folder and copy the TexturedFonts.gpk file from the directory I mentioned previously.

2º-Use UTHelper to extract the dds files from the file that is outdated.

Here you will find something like that:

Just know you dont have to modify the UI_SystemFont02_emis

3º-Now open the outdated crit mod with UTHelper (open it as admin if possible,usually it bugs when not opened as admin)

4º- Go to UI_SystemFont01_emis and right-click it, select “Extract” and it will ask you where do you wanna save it (i recommend you to save all of them in the same folder or it might get messy) After you extracted that one, do the same with UI_SystemFont03_emis

5º-When you’ve extracted the two files i mention in the step below,open the non-edited TexturedFonts.gpk with UTHelper and start importing the files u extracted to the matching files (import UI_SystemFont01_emis to UI_SystemFont01_emis etc)

6º-Here is where the Photoshop/GIMP might be useful for you or not. If you want to remain such buffies without any modification ingame bcs you like them, you can just skip this step

The rest of the Fonts files are like crit mods but for dragon,phoenix,chicken etc.

If you want those to look different from a normal crit, you can modify the crit mod however you want to make it suit your taste (Here a guide of how to edit ur own crit dds file) If you dont wanna do such, just import the UI_SystemFont01_emis to the remaining Fonts that you didnt import.

7º-When you are done with it,just click on “File” and select “Save as patched” it will generate a file named TexturedFonts.patched.gpk and you’ve just updated your own crit mod c:

Are you named after anyone?  Definetly no. My name has some arabic origins even tho im not from any muslim country xD When was last time you cried? Been a little while (Luckily) Do you have kids?  Nope, at least not yet. Do you use sarcasm a lot? When im upset or mad,yes i do xD The rest of the time I just use it when im kidding.
