Had a visitor at work a little while back!
Yeah... I like it better as a pickle.
Finn’s school had a contest to design a school mascot... Finn said his represents Canada! I think it’s just cool, so I did a small version of it.
Do you have a step by step thing of how you made the proton pack? I've looked into buying one online and they go from $300-5,000 which are all seriously out of my price range.
Howdy Killerweasel! Actually this was pretty cheap, mostly because I had a ton of wires from our office moving, and used them for all the wires. For the base, I used part of a case I found in the dump, and burned holes in the plastic (better to melt holes, than screw things in, as I noticed plastic cracks more often than not. The lights are the mini dollar store tea lights (which flicker, and it a cool effect), so you can turn them on and off, and the bulbs around them on the front are actually “fighter pods” toy pods that had little toys in them. they twist in half, so I used half on the front to house the bulb from the tea light. The big round thing on the bottom is actually a microwave plate cover from the dollar store. And the “wand” (I’m blanking on the word), is a Nestea Bottle painted black (spray paint found at the dollar store too!!), with a really pathetic dollar store lightsaber (really short, but perfect for the pack), with a black phone cord to attach it to the pack. And it’s a mixture of superglue, hot glue, and wood glue.
The extras are just odds and ends I found in my toolbox, and around at the dollar store. The straps on the pack are actually cut off of a broken backpack I had, and then ducktaped closed, and screwed into the base. (To screw things on, it’s easier to melt a tiny hole first, so you don’t put as much pressure on the plastic).
I wanted to make a realistic prop one, but I found so many online that were different, so I made this one a one of a kind, so my son could have something all his own.
Basically it was more fun than copying the original, and it gives you the freedom to improvise. :) I hope this helped.
Vacation!
So while I be the lazy me... I thought I would post a few strips I’m proud of... some of my Song Strips. But... because I can’t stay off Tumblr, I’ll be posting #LeftArt while I’m lazying! And I can promise, I have some cool art I’m going to be lefting!
What should I draw next?
Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions! I've done over a hundred #LeftArt drawings, and I'm looking for suggestions! Help!
This is awesome!!
I was telling somebody about your art the other day... I stumbled on it on google, and thought how cool it was to see someone leaving art too!
