Lepechinia fragrans

Lepechinia fragrans looks much like a Salvia, and it is indeed related. It has the common name of Fragrant Pitcher Sage, since its leaves are aromatic like many of its relatives in the mint family. It is native to southern California, growing both on the Channel Islands off the coast and also on the mainland.
