Pixlriffs Zine Interest Check

Hello intrigued Tumblr user! Are you interested in participating in a zine about Pixlriffs? Are you interested in reading a zine about Pixlriffs? Are you just bored and want to fill out a form? Have I got something for you!

Please fill out this form so that I can get a read on how many people would be interested and what the scope may be!

Right now, the scope is on anything Pixlriff-ian you would like! Want to talk about Empires? SOS? Misadventures? Survival Guide? Hermitcraft Recap? Any and all of the above? Come fill out the form and talk about what you might want to do!

Interest check will remain open for roughly two weeks, at which point I will see what the responses have been like and whether there's enough people to go forward! Hope to see you in the responses!

Happy 21st night of September! But, in more specific zine news:

CONTRIBUTOR APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

Pixlriffs Zine Contributor Apps!

Submissions are open from now until 10 pm EST on October 5th.

We ask that portfolios have 3 to 5 pieces showcasing your best work! They don't have to be Pix-related or even MCYT works, just show us your best!

I come bearing times! I have finally finished up the timeline for the zine!

September 18th: interest check closes September 21st - October 5th: contributor apps October 12th: emails sent out October 19th - January 25th: creation period

The zine will release sometime in February, most likely the first half depending on the need for extensions/pinch hitters.

We've already got a good response for applicants, so we will be going through with the zine, but the interest check will remain open until the stated date so we have a good sense of how many people will be interested!

Notifications have been sent!

We have reached out to everyone who applied with acceptance and rejection messages! If you did not receive a friend request/message on Discord, we then reached out via Tumblr DMs, then via Tumblr asks, and then via Twitter. Please check any spam boxes, as we believe some messages may have been marked as such.

If you have yet to receive any form of communication from us, then we have not been able to contact you based on the information you submitted. Please reach out to @eagle-warri or @thegaythespian here on Tumblr DMs.

We look forward to working with you all, and we will post public updates here as we get closer to publication.

about what time are rejections/acceptances going out, if there is one?

Life has been life-ing for me quite a bit, but acceptances and rejections should be coming out within the next 24 hours! I will also put out a post when they start coming out and when they finish coming out. Apologies for not being perfectly in line with the schedule, but this one-day (at most) delay won't affect the rest of the schedule!

Update on the applications:

We have been sending out more acceptances and rejections! A lot of the more recent ones will have come out through Tumblr, as we have run into some people without open DMs.

If you've received a message from @eagle-warri or @thegaythespian here on Tumblr, it will be about your application! Additionally, if you have received a friend request from sweetlikehoney_ (black and white cat pfp) on Discord, please accept, as this will be pertaining to your application as well!

Some people we have had more of a roadblock on than others, so we apologize for all the delays and thank you for your patience!

do you have an estimate of how many writers and how many artists you would (ideally) have?

Hopefully, we will have a roughly equal number of artists and writers, but we don't have a hard cap at the moment on how many people would participate! We're hoping to have at least 25 participants, but we'll have to look at final numbers and see how many would be too many.
