My country made its own Comic Con for us huge nerds who lives in it, ARE YOU JEALOUS YET

Not quite because I get super anxious in crowds. My country had this con called uhh what was it? TFF Expressive Arts Convention back in 2012. They did cosplay, art exhibits, gaming competition, dancing, skits and stuff. I dunno why they’re not doing it again tho but I’m sure I’m not gonna show up because of my anxiety… unless they ask me to host the event but back then I declined because I was swamped with my Uni assignments. Uhh, I might go if my friends drag me there because I never win when they gang up on me.

The few nerd/geek gathering I showed up was the Local DevMeet 2007 (dressed up as an Anbu) and Local DevMeet 2009 (dressed up as Crona from Soul Eater, won 3rd for best costume and stage performance, 1st in Caramel Dansen challenge- danced for a friggin 30 minutes non-stop until no more competitors. My legs were in pain the next day but hey! I got nice calves!).

Other cosplay appearance was during my Uni’s Japanese Cultural Week in 2009, 2011 and 2012. I remember cosplaying as Tamaki from Bamboo Blade (just wore my Kendo uniform really), Agito from Air Gear (blue straight jacket version), Crona and Death the Kid from Soul Eater, Haruhi Suzumiya (for the Hare Hare Yukai dance performance) and dressed up as a Neko Maid (wore this when I was manning my Manga Booth. I got harassed by pervs daily for this one…), Neko Mad Hatter (the kids like this one a lot because of the bells on my jacket).

I get super exhausted at the end of the day, having to control my nervousness all day long but it was fun!

FACT: First cosplay was the Anbu costume in 2007. I wore that first time when hosting my school’s first Cultural Festival (that my friends and I started for the first time ever in our school). I did not talk when my mask was on and EVERYONE thought I was a dude. I somehow got a lot of fangirls too… creepy, stalking, swooning, screaming fangirls.

They didn’t leave me alone even after I took off my mask when I had to make critiques for the cosplay competition. I kinda suffered from being stalked and attacked by fans for months and had to hide a lot (my favourite hiding spot is under the stairs that people rarely use because it’s too far from the school center. Also that block is haunted, so people avoid the area). This is actually the main reason I didn’t cosplay actively since 2012. Fangirls are scary. Screaming fangirls are super annoying. Stalking fangirls are just super scary.

But I’m considering cosplaying again after my uhmmm 3 years hiatus? I got my bro bro to be my partner.
