Star of Bethlehem. 2017. When the nights get brighter and the days get shorter– that’s when I know Christmas is just around the corner. And regardless of the cold weather, the Filipino spirit burns and shines brighter during the Christmas season. True enough, decorations like Christmas trees, Santa Claus and Bethlehem Village figurines, garlands, and Christmas socks were already being put up for as early as September. However, in the eyes of the Filipinos, Christmas will never be complete without the iconic ‘parol’– that amidst the darkest hours of the night –continues to radiate light to give Filipinos the hope that days will get better . . . like how the star of Bethlehem guided the lost travelers. Up till now, this ‘parol’ stands as the symbol of the Filipino Christmas spirit because it resembles the resiliency of the Filipinos that love and happiness will always resurface even after a year of pain and hardship. #PlacesProjectPH #PinoyPride #CERP31 (at San Mateo, Rizal)

#Repost @placesprojectph with @repostapp ・・・ Abundant. 2017. There is this story about Laguna's abundance that my Lola used to tell. This story is about a big crocodile that lives in Laguna Lake. It is so big that its mouth reaches the other side of the lake while its tail reaches the other side. The story said that every time its mouth reaches a place, the crocodile eats all that place's resources and eventually making that place poor. On the other hand, the place where its tail is located becomes abundant because that crocodile excretes gold. Manila was at the receiving end of the crocodile's blessings. However, its people became extravagant and did not care about its finite resources. When the crocodile noticed how the people in Manila was behaving, it changed its position. Its mouth begin to go to the direction of Manila and its tail towards Laguna. My Lola said that this story should be a reminder for all of us to be mindful of all that we have here in Laguna because if not, the crocodile may change its position again and may consume everything that we have. --@xiauismo #placesprojectph #LagunaIs #CERP31

While enjoying the good food that you ordered from the stalls, a live band also serenades you with good music. If you want to take a rest from your academic requirements, you can enjoy eating here with your friends while drinking some beer as they also offer alcoholic drinks. The place is also aesthetically appealing. Sadly, this little food district is only temporary. #LagunaEats #cerp31 #placesprojectph
